Mr. Doomguy 7 Share Posted August 10, 2017 The main reason for listing a GUI library used by a game into a infobox is to quickly establish if the game uses SDL or any other library such as GLFW. This can be very helpful for Linux users as they would be able to use specific commands for the likes of SDL2 to provide some changes such as using ALSA instead of Pulseaudio, use Wayland mode instead of Xorg (Saving the performance) etc. Besides that it would also help recognize which library the Linux user needs to install in order to either get the game to work or compile the the binary file in case if the games source code is available (Such as Aquaria).
