Can someone help me configure Starshot?

I haven't played it for ages and I would really love to.

 

The game was developed solely for 3dfx owners and modern systems don't recognize it.

I've tried this Nglide program but I'm not familiar with its use, so I'd like some help with it.

 

The intro movie plays fine but when it gets me to the main menu the speed is REALLY slow!!!

How can I increase it?
