ImOblivious 0 Share Posted June 2, 2014 I keep running in this error when I try to run Crysis.Because of this issue, Crysis will launch, show a black screen and crash.I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bitThis is the Steam version.I have an AMD FX 6-core and a Radeon 7900 series GPU.I have tried to follow up on similar issues like here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_programs/microsoft-visual-c-2005-redistributable-error-1935/9b245369-5053-e011-8dfc-68b599b31bf5 But it doesn't seem to work, mostly because that registry value doesn't exist. I'll be happy to provide any other information that is needed. Reply (Quote)
Garrett 214 Share Posted June 2, 2014 You could try using the 64-bit executable (bin64\crysis.exe in the installation folder). Failing that try uninstalling Visual C++ 2005 and then using the installer included in the game's installation folder (in a folder called redist or something similar). ImOblivious 0 Author Share Posted June 3, 2014 The \bin64 folder doesn't exist in the files.I found a fix for it though here that worked though. http://steamcommunity.com/app/17300/discussions/0/864945401070748061/ Reply (Quote)
Mirh 103 Share Posted June 3, 2014 Mhh.. I don't know why but the token thing seems more like .NET related Would you mind trying to reinstall vc++ 2005 and 2008 (both 32 and 64 bit) and .NET 2.0 and 3.5 ? Thank you :) Reply (Quote)
