bubser 0 Share Posted 18 hours ago I followed the instructions on the rayman origins page on pcgamingwiki : I downloaded d3d9 wrapper, extracted d3d9.dll and d3d9.ini to the game folder, I first tried to set the refresh rate to 240, and it did not work. Force windowed mode works (it's automatically borderless without having to force the window style, which is nice), the fps counter also works, but it always displays 120, while nvidia overlay, game bar overlay and fraps all display 60, doesn't matter which refresh rate I set in d3d9.ini, either in fullscreen or windowed mode. I am running windows 11 pro 25H2, I have a ryzen 7 9800X3D, a 4080 super and 32 GB of RAM. My monitor is 2560x1440, 240Hz. I am playing the uplay version with patch 1.02 found on pcgamingwiki. I am using the 32 bit version of the wrapper since it's a 32bit game, I tried the 64bit version just in case, as expected it didn't do anything at all (including displaying fps counter and forcing widowed mode). Here are screens of the game with all fps counters, and of my current d3d9.ini. The game screen is in the main menu, but it's the same while loaded in a level. supersamus 0 Share Posted 11 hours ago Are you trying to increase the game's frame rate? In that case, you need to know that the Exclusive Fullscreen refresh rate ≠ Frame rate This game is designed to run only at 60 FPS, and there is no way to change that. Changing the refresh rate is changing the "container" of the frames the game is outputting (one use case is that some monitors have a lower output lag when they are set to a higher refresh rate, even if the frame rate is the same). bubser 0 Author Share Posted 5 hours ago Oh ok my bad. Thanks for your reply. Isn't it weird though that the fps counter displays 120 ? I now know it's irrelevant to the main question, I'm just wondering why that is. Reply (Quote)
supersamus 0 Share Posted 1 hour ago I have no familiarity with DxWrapper, so I don't know. Reply (Quote)
