Fixing Delta Force 2 depth buffer problems using a hex editor

Recommended Posts

I just struggled with this concern for z-fighting on DF2, especially in D3D. I tested the hex edit on Hw_d3d.dll following an old post on Vogons, and it helped a lot! It is necessary to replace a floating value related to the depth of the buffer (like 24-bit → 32-bit). I recommend HxD to do the editing, it's simple and free. Remember to make a copy of the original file before any modification. And most importantly, disable optimizations in the graphics panel. Good luck, this game is worth it once it's clean!
