dr 1 Share Posted February 1, 2024 I am interested in learning about any PC games that award bonuses for saves from other games. A few examples: Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2005) starts you off with an extra $10,000 in-game currency if it detects a save file from Need for Speed: Underground 2. Colin McRae: DiRT 2 awards you a Ravenwest livery for the Subaru Impreza if it detects a profile from Race Driver: GRID. Dead Space 3 awards you the Planet Cracker Plasma Cutter if it detects a save file from Dead Space 2 and an N7 Suit if it detects a save file from Mass Effect 3. If you complete the first mission in Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team, you unlock the Power Sword for use in multiplayer in Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine. Titles (e.g., Eye of the Beholder sequels) that can import some inventory or character/party advancement from previous games in the series are on topic as well, although I'm primarily interested in the above. Does anyone know of more examples? Reply (Quote)
Theclaw135 4 Share Posted April 20, 2024 Final Fantasy XIV (A Realm Reborn) offered bonuses for players of the game's botched original incarnation. Several Wizardry games have character transfers of some kind. A few of Falcom's The Legend of Heroes games offer rewards for loading a previous title's save. Pokemon Trading Card Game Live lets you keep inventory items from its predecessor. Reply (Quote)
nogaems 2 Share Posted May 4, 2024 (edited) You can find/add games with cross-game bonus in the monetization section. https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Category:Cross-game_bonus This list only checks games with it in their taxonomy section, not the monetization section Edited May 6, 2024 by nogaems Add sentence Reply (Quote)
Patrxgt 20 Share Posted August 2, 2024 Mass Effect 1-3 will give you additional Paragon/Renegade points after importing a save from the previous installment based on your Paragon/Renegade level in that previous game. Reply (Quote)
