Andytizer 269 Share Posted November 29, 2019 PCGamingWiki is looking for a frontend developer contractor to help with some skin changes to the MediaWiki side of our website. The main task would be to design a new horizontal dropdown interface above the main content. The horizontal dropdown would contain all the dynamic information normally in the sidebar, e.g. static links as well as dynamic links ('Tools'). This would also remove the original left 'sidebar', so that the content of the page is more centred. Here is a crude example of what we're looking for: For example, this MediaWiki skin puts all MediaWiki:Sidebar contents into a horizontal navigation dropdown bar. However it does not have to look or behave like this - we are open to ideas on how this could be designed. Person specification: Someone who is a competent frontend website developer. Has a portfolio of work or a proven track record. Can complete the job within 45 days. Is interested in further work helping to tidy up other frontend aspects of the website (e.g. ad-blocker detection, integrating MediaWiki:Common.css into the main stylesheet, etc.) Details: Skin is located here: https://github.com/PCGamingWiki/overclocked Changes automatically update this staging website: https://staging.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Home Payment: Contractor will bid and negotiate for the job, contacting Andytizer directly. Please get in touch with Andytizer via Discord if you are interested with a portfolio, or if you have any more questions. Reply (Quote)
