Few days ago I uploaded a new cover image for game Twin Sector, but the game page still displays the old image:

This happened before, with the game Claw where I uploaded a new settings screenshot in May, but the game page still shows the old image:

It says the new images are "current", but are not.

It's due to aggressive caching on the images. Normally, selecting More -> Refresh on the article should solve these issues but sometimes you also have to select More -> Refresh on the images themselves, and then after that select More -> Refresh on the article. If the issue still occurs after that, it's usually a local web browser cache issue and so F5 or Ctrl+F5 in the browser while on the page will take care of the remaining issue.

So:

  1. More -> Refresh on the newly uploaded images themselves, and wait for the page to be refreshed.
  2. More -> Refresh on the article the image is included in, and wait for the page to be refreshed.
  3. If the old image is still visible, hit F5 or Ctrl+F5 in the web browser to refresh the local cache of the browser.

I've fixed both articles now, so the latest version of the images appear on both.

Our sysadmin should have hopefully solved the issue a few hours ago as well, so next time hopefully you either don't have to do anything, or you'll only have to do the second and third steps listed.
