AnotherGills 25 Share Posted July 6, 2019 Bandai Namco has announced One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4, the latest installment in the Koei-Tecmo and Omega Force developed One Piece: Pirate Warriors series. This title will be released in 2020. The previous game in the Pirate Warriors series to release on PC in 2015, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 3, was heavily criticized for false advertising. The Steam store page for Pirate Warriors 3 contained an advertisement video with footage similar to the PlayStation 4 version of the game. However, the final product released was found to be a port of the last-generation PlayStation 3 version of the game, featuring textures of far lower-resolution than the PlayStation 4 version. The porting of lower-quality PlayStation 3 versions had been a common symptom of Koei-Tecmo and Omega Force releases on PC at the time The PC version also lacked the online multiplayer modes available on the console versions. Koei-Tecmo and Omega Force have definitely turned around with their PC releases in recent years, typically releasing full-featured ports for PC. Hopefully this trend continues with One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4, and that it receives proper parity with it's console counterparts.
