Guest Share Posted October 29, 2016 Don't know even where to start. OK, from the very beggining:) First of all, the menu doesn't work properly (see attached screenshot). It won't display, unless you hover a cursor over it (update: and it seems that some of the hud in game also is missing, from the health and ammo count to the vertical line on the sniper scope). Second, I can't change settings. I've changed only resolution, cause everything else already was set to high. it said that it requires restart to apply new settings. After restart I find out that all settings are set to low, and resolution is wrong again. Another try, another restart, same story. I've tried to edit configuration file and set it to "read only" - doesn't matter, the game sets everything on low again. Found on the Internet that you should run it with admin rights in compatibility mode - no dice.Alright screw this. I decide I'll try the game anyway, on lowest settings. The first mission is tutorial. You are required to shoot on the red targets. If I shoot anywhere else - everything is OK. If I shoot on the red targets - my PC freezes for three-four seconds after each succesfull hit (and later I've checked logs from MSI Afterburner - my GPU spiked to 100% load from usual 24-25% on such moments). What the hell is this? I also play Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 (got the "Trilogy" bundle) - it doesn't have problems like this, everything on very high, no lags, menu is visible, can change settings with no problem.Does someone had such problem like I do with this game? Can someone advise me something? Apart from deleting the game (which I also did and reinstalled again, it didn't help :) and I want to play it) Reply (Quote)
Mirh 103 Share Posted November 2, 2016 Computer freezing and going crazy seems more of a driver issue tbh.. Also no surprise lame admin or read-only "tricks" had no effect (the point being.. ?). And no shit SGW2 feels different: you have completely different graphics engines. Do you have any other Chrome Engine 4 to try? Or could you post your spec and all at least? Mirh 103 Share Posted November 3, 2016 Run the game in a window. Then check what happens in task manager when you shoot those targets. Reply (Quote)
Guest Share Posted November 3, 2016 I can't run it in windowed, I wrote this already, I can't change settings, they keep resetting. Anyway, here's what happens (I made three shots, marked them as 1-2-3).The CPU1 is at 100%. Reply (Quote)
Mirh 103 Share Posted November 3, 2016 Damn.. Is the game patched and all? Also, try to rename settings folder. And perhaps disable ANYTHING you can in device manager (sound, inputs..) Reply (Quote)
Guest Share Posted November 3, 2016 Well, it's the Steam version, so I suppose its patched.Renamed the folder, the game created new "settings" folder and it keeps resetting them again.I have disabled sound device, I don't have any input devices I can turn off, it didn't help. Mirh 103 Share Posted November 8, 2016 Folks here suggest to move away movies folder. Reply (Quote)

Mirh 103 Share Posted November 11, 2016 So... I'm kind of out of ideas, so I hope you may forgive the.. randomness of the thing. Open Procmon, load up the game, then take a screenshot of game process modules list. Reply (Quote)
Guest Share Posted November 12, 2016 Well, I never used this software, so I don't exactly understand what you want from me )))I've logged everything about the game process into the .pml file, maybe it will help.https://mega.nz/#!iltXhCIQ!FtIoAO8erLKdDQCMeMwxMDYU0XMABY43dOGs82O01yg(I've run the game twice, and shot on some targets, then Alt+F4 out of there.) I've also pulled out my GTX 460 and tried to play on Intel HD 2500 to see if something will change, but it didn't. Reply (Quote)
Mirh 103 Share Posted November 12, 2016 Oh, cool! That's even better. And.. I dunno, the first time you launched the game it seems like barely no dll gets loaded.. But whatever. The second time everything seems normal, except there's NO reason for that wlidnsp.dll to be loaded at all. Could you check the thing? Guest Share Posted November 13, 2016 I thought that was a system file... A lot of software on my PC is using it even now, according to Proccess Explorer, such as Firefox, Windows Media Player, MiniLyrics. What is this file? Can't find what its supposed to do. Mirh 103 Share Posted November 17, 2016 Well, for starters it just seems a "Windows Live ID Sign-in Assistant" service dll. I mean it shouldn't be a virus or something. Though, really, there's no way in hell it should be used by all the software loading in your computer. Try to stop the service and see what happens? Rename C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Windows Live if it still doesn't work. Uh, ninjaedit: this behavior looks a lot like appinit_dll Reply (Quote)
Guest Share Posted November 18, 2016 Well, the games with GFWL started to crash, but otherwise - nothing happened. The other programs that were using it are fine without it now. Reply (Quote)
