Hitman: Codename 47 - Widescreen & FOV Fix

6 Screenshots

About This File

Comes with a RAR file, which includes an ASI plugin intended to fix the resolution and field of view in the third-person stealth game "Hitman: Codename 47" (2000), since the game crops the view at non-4:3 resolutions. This fix, unlike nemesis2000's original widescreen fix, also fixes the FOV on cutscenes and sniper scope view, and also allows changing the default FOV.

Source code available here: https://github.com/alphayellow1/AlphaYellowWidescreenFixes/blob/main/source/fixes/HitmanCodename47WidescreenFix

Instructions:

1. Extract all files to the game folder.

2. Download ThirteenAG's Ultimate ASI Loader (32-bit version of dsound.dll), and also extract it to the game folder.

3. Set the desired resolution, FOV factor and draw distance factor in HitmanCodename47WidescreenFix.ini.

- Notes:

:-: To use Creative ALchemy together with this fix, rename ALchemy's dsound.dll to dsoundHooked.dll.

What's New in Version 1.1.1

Released

- Fixed a bug in the code that would always show RenderD3D.dll being loaded in the log file, even when OpenGL is being used.

Same here. What fixed it for me was:

  1. Download the latest DxWrapper.
  2. Extract dxwrapper.dll, dxwrapper.ini into the game's main directory.
  3. Extract ddraw.dll and Stub.ini from the "Stub" folder into the game's main directory.
  4. Rename Stub.ini to ddraw.ini.
  5. Extract the AlphaYellow's widescreen fix into the scripts folder (if it doesn't exist, create it) and configure it's .ini file.

If you wish to use it with dgVoodoo2 or want bigger UI, look up those guides:
