miller11568 0 Share Posted August 5 Supreme Snowboarding (1999) won't start on Windows 10 because the error says "The application was unable to start correctly". Why is that and can someone help me hex edit the executable and DLLs to fix this crash on start? Reply (Quote)

Nessy 3 Share Posted yesterday at 07:34 PM Greetings. The old DRM is quite possibly the issue here, but the available renderers are also highly obsolete. I have tested the game successfully on Windows 10 and edited the article a little. Patch 1.035 fixes some problems and removes the DRM. It supposedly needs version 1.033 installed but I could not find that one anywhere and yet 1.035 worked fine. The game's version is apparently stored in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Housemarque\Installer => SUPREME_VERSION. Mine was set to a (10) by default. The patch pushed it to b (11). The renderers might remain problematic but switching the Render Device to "Software2" (in Display_Config.exe) allows for resolutions like 1920x1080 on 32 Bit even. The settings are stored in rd_config.txt. Important: Before installing Patch 1.035, make sure Supreme.exe is not set to Read-only. It was initially set to Read-only in my tests which kept the patch from successfully overwriting it. Reply (Quote)
