Crashday (2006) won't start

I have a v1.0 retail copy of Crashday, but it won't start on Windows 10. Can someone help me hex edit the executable or can I try the latest official patch to fix the crash?

UPDATE: I have hex editing the executable and replaced six bytes with 90 at 0x478359 and it works fine.
