GTA V (Steam) not opening on Parallels when making Crossover Steam the 'main library'

I am on MacOS Sonoma. I've installed GTA V via Steam on Crossover, it works great with D3DMetal. However, I also have paralells now, and I wanted to run GTA V in parallels to see if I could use modestmenu (mod). However, I followed this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mr6FVvwCHH4) so that I don't have to install gta twice. But when I click play in the Paralells version of Steam, it stops after 5 seconds and goes back to the play button. How can I fix this? I installed the rockstar game launcher on parallels and when I click play on Steam, the rockstar games launcher gives an error also that it is unable to launch the game.
