Is there any way to make the menus not bug out at aspect ratios other than 16:9?
The game looks amazing at 32:9, but many menus bug out

If I force my monitor to 16:9, and then launch the game, it viewports the rendering of the game, but the menus work fine.
When I'm in native 32:9 and launch game, the game renders on the full screen, but the menus bug out.

I'm simply not smart enough to figure out if there's even a way for that to work.

You're my absolute hero.  Been waiting on a fix for over 10 years and you've really come in clutch .  I've run the game for 3+ hours so far and I am certain that the issue is finally fixed.  Now I can continue practicing my speed runs for  both Bayonetta and Metal Gear Rising!!

This patch is amazing it really helped me as a low end pc gamer, i only get 15-20 fps in combat and played for 70 hours with slowmotion until i tried this patch and the 60 fps cap removes slowmotion its finally more fun and playable but some QTEs became impossible because theye're so fast now, mostly bosses you don't even get to see what button to press, can you add a 30 fps cap perhaps ? It will be so useful and there's a lot of other low end gamers like me who i shared the mod with and made them get back to the game because they couldn't handle the slowmotion, thank you so much

You can do this yourself by setting "FPSMode = 2" in the ini and use RivaTuner to set framerate limit to 30.

Hello, I've used MangoHud for limit FPS of very old games like Nocturne on LInux. In my case I use the Flatpak beta version but you can install through the system pack version if you like.

What's the correct setup in both the ini file and in-game to get the game and menus to display in 16:10 (I'm using a Steam Deck)? I have the two resolution settings set to 0, and in-game set to Fullscreen, but it still shows the letterboxing bars on the top and bottom.

First off, I wanted to say thank you so much.  We finally have a mod that fixes the major issues with the game.  However, I found a fairly easy to replicate crash to desktop during Sam's boss fight.  I don't believe the crash is related to this mod but maybe a potential fix can be found?

If you cut a certain amount of objects in the arena such as the fence or rocks shortly before the final QTE in the fight, the game has a good chance to crash just after Raiden stabs Sam in the chest, as the end cutscene is about to load.  I found a steam thread from when the game came out detailing the same exact thing: https://steamcommunity.com/app/235460/discussions/0/34095131850279531/?l=french

I'm going to try to replicate this on another computer.  Hopefully this is fixable.

Out of curiosity, have you enabled the option in the ini file to increase the heap size? This feels like a memory issue

Yes, the file limit/heap option in the ini is and was enabled, set to 1.

So after further testing, I'm able to cause the crash on a different computer as well.  I decided to mess with the Zantime and Zandatsu options under graphics, which govern the amount of cuts and the amount of time cut object linger before disappearing.  I have found out that setting both these options to low doesn't seem to cause the crash, or at the very least, makes it much more difficult to crash, as I've not been able to replicate it when set to low.

I'll try to record a video on how to replicate it when I get the chance.

Does the crash happen with the option disabled? Also if you have other mods installed does the crash happen without them.

Yes, the crash happens even when the heap option is set to 0.  The only mod I have is playstation buttons, so I decided to try removing them and the crash still happens no matter what.

Here's a video showcasing the crash and how easy it is to replicate:

It's probably an original game bug and I don't usually spend much time trying to fix those. You can check if these are any files in the "METAL GEAR RISING REVENGEANCE_Minidumps" folder and upload the newest one if there is.
