Prince of Persia 3D Widescreen fix

About This File

Widescreen fix for Prince of Persia 3D.

It includes also non-widescreen resolutions.

============================================================================================================================

Files "options.sav" with some common resolutions (1280x720, 1280x800, 1280x1024, 1360x768, 1366x768, 1440x900, 1600x900, 1920x1080, 1920x1200).
The width in "options.sav" is answered by two bytes: 0x0E and 0x0F.
And by height at a distance of two from the width: 0x12 and 0x13.
There you can enter any resolution in hex-form, and the game should work fine.

============================================================================================================================

Installation Instructions:

  1. Download Widescreen fix.
  2. Open POP3D_Widescreen_Resolutions.zip.
  3. Extract options.sav from any resolution folder to POP3D directory.

Has anyone been able to make 1440p or even 4K verisons? I've been having trouble making 2560x1440 work, and I'm sure I'm putting the right values in.

Have you tried to combine with DGVoodoo? Directx6 has resolution limits and DG lifts them.

Yeah I couldn't get this working with dgvoodoo, it would just either black screen or crash. Also now this game just doesn't want to launch regardless. Even when reinstalling after reverting the options.sav file to the 1080p one. Weird game, was working fine one second, dead the next lol

And tinkering with the virtual memory size? DGVoodoo warns about 256mb limits for DX6 games but you can try do raise above.
