It does work, but the instructions aren't posted here....

 

I'm using Steam version. Download just the 21x9 fix file, and unrar it.

Next run the game and go into the story mode. Then run the 21x9 fix .exe and click "fix". It'll fix the resolution for you :)

 

Notice when you run the fix file, the icon for it on your taskbar is the cheatengine icon. It needs to game running to change a value.

Works for me but Defender does detect it as a trojan.. 

It DOES definitely still work. You just have to turn off "real-time protection" in Windows Defender, and then do the same steps guest yinne posted above. 

Now I'm enjoying full-screen cutscenes on my 2560x1080 monitor, instead of 480i or whatever the hell it was before. 

I know I'm super later to this patch, however I was just curious is there anyway to use this without having to turn off my real-time virus scanning?
