Assassin's Creed Aspect Ratio Fix

when i attempt to run the .exe file, it gives me an error

Data error : Wrong password? : AssassinsCreed_Dx10.exe

(before you ask, yes i did copy paste the password and i also tried it in all caps)

Im getting a few errors, but the one I cant get past is this one. Is there any way to fix it?
 

It says it's a .7zip but it's actually a .rar, rename the archive before extracting, then copy the two .exe files into the game directory, overriding the existing ones.

It works great on my steamdeck, gives a proper 1280x800 resolution with no stretching.
