Sonic Mega Collection Plus - Custom resolution???

Hi,

I can't seem to understand how to set custom resolution in Sonic Mega Collection Plus. I'm following the instructions on the wiki page, but after I set the custom resolution values in the hex editor, it doesn't seem to work for some reason (i.e. the resolution is still 640x480). Am I doing anything wrong?
