Fixed installer to bypass Origin in the 2012 DVD version of The Sims 3

This archive contains files from both the 2009 and 2012 disc versions of The Sims 3. It allows you to install the game using the disc from the version of the game released in 2012 without Origin. As Origin was discontinued in 2025, it's impossible to install the game in a "proper" way. However, although the 2012 version of the game requires Origin to install, it still has the same installer as the older version. The only difference is that instead of simply asking for a CD-Key as in the old version, this version forces the user to install Origin, effectively making the installation of the game in 2025 impossible.

This installer uses files from the 2009 version of the game in order to skip the Origin requirement and continue the installation without it. Afterwards, the game seems to be DRM-Free and never asks neither for logging into the EA Account, nor entering the CD-Key.

Instruction:

1. Unpack the archive to any folder on your computer.

2. Open "Sims3Setup.exe".

3. Go on with the setup until you see the error mesage to insert the disc.

4. Click on "Browse..." and pick the DVD drive with your Sims 3 disc

5. Finish the setup as you would normally.
