-This compilation allows to update the game to the latest version with fixes.

--- Fixes and improvements to "Aliens vs. Predator 2 (2001)" [English / Spanish] ---

-This compilation works for any localized version of the game.

-- Fixes that only affect Spanish language: ---
-Spanish language Pack - texts and voices (KingKenny's AvP2 Files - Master Server 2.4 version), this transforms any version of the game in the Spanish version.

-This compilation includes improvements in subtitle texts and letter size, also corrects the game credits that, after version 1.0.9.6, were incorrectly shown in Italian language instead of Spanish.

--- Fixes that are present in any version of the game: ---
-Fixed widescreen aspect ratio (thanks to Master Server 2.4).

-Adds Antialiasing (MSAA x4) to improve image quality (using DgVoodoo2 control panel).

-Vsync activated to prevent tearing (using DgVoodoo2 control panel).

-The fix puts the game at 32-bits color permanently (dgVoodoo.conf - DgVoodoo2).

-To prevent some de-sync when open/close doors and timings, the FPS of the game were put to 52 FPS (dgVoodoo.conf - DgVoodoo2).

-Contrast was put to 85% to avoid the excessive darkness of the game (using DgVoodoo2 control panel).

-Modified "lithtech.exe" to allow 4 Gb of RAM and improve 64-bits OS compatibility.

-If needed: use "AVP2 - Registry Fix.exe" or directly "AVP2.reg", this adds a registry file that allows to play the game changing the default folder name. *This prevents to install updates normally (this does not matter, because this compilation adds all known updates to the game). But if you want to use original patches or other updates (NOT RECOMMENDED if you use this compilation) you need to open the AVP2.reg and modify this "./" changing it with a Hard-Drive letter and folder.

Uncompress and Overwrite (if asked) all files when you put them in "Aliens vs. Predator 2 (2001)" game folder.

· For English:

When running "AVP2.exe", go to "Options" - "Command-Line":

*** Known bugs: (Master Server v2.4 - AvP2 v1.0.9.6)

    1.- From 1280x720 resolution onwards, subtitles and in-game text become very small.

    2.- When use the Predator, the third vision (Bump-Map vision) show lines in the screen borders, this is a very minor "bug" caused by the use of antialiasing.

    3.- When you complete the game with all 3 races, after the credits, if you load a savegame, you will see a black screen, the only way to exit is "ALT+F4", to avoid this, instead of load a game after the credits screen, select a mission from any of the races, doing this, by-passes the bug. (This bug happens, as I know, in English and Spanish versions but it may happen in all versions of the game)

*Note:
    The Spanish version, launched with "AvsP2 - Spanish.exe" or by the refered Command-Line works with ALL versions of the game turning all versions texts and voices to Spanish.

*Note 2:
    The English version, launched with "AvsP2 - English.exe" or by the refered Command-Line works also with ALL versions of the game but only the texts will be forced to be displayed in English. If your original "Avp2.rez" and "Sounds.rez" files were, for example, from the Spanish version, all voices, and some texts will be in that language (with the rest of texts being in English). If your "Avp2.rez" and "Sounds.rez" are from the original English version, then there is no problem.

*Final note:
    The files "ESPANOL_MSP24.REZ" and "Spanish_Fix.REZ" are only for the Spanish version of the game, if you don't use that, you can delete them safely.
