About This File

Comes with a RAR file, which includes an ASI plugin intended to fix the field of view in the scifi action-adventure game "Anne McCaffrey's Freedom: First Resistance" (2000), as the game's engine crops the image at resolutions with an aspect ratio wider than 4:3 (Vert-).

Instructions:

1. Extract all files to the game folder.

2. Download ThirteenAG's Ultimate ASI Loader (32-bit version), rename the file to dsound.dll, and also extract it to the game folder.

3. Set the desired resolution to fix the FOV, and also configure the FOV amount in AnneMcCaffreysFreedomFirstResistanceFOVFix.ini.

Changed resolution to 1920*1080, replaced .exe, applied Fov Fixer - the result is on the screen. Seems it shows the quarter of screen. The same issue happens with 2560*1080

That's unfortunate. Maybe try setting "Override DPI scaling behavior. Scaling performed by:" setting in Freedom.exe's compatibility settings to "Application". If it still doesn't solve it, maybe try setting "ResolutionIndex=" line in Freedom.ini to "ResolutionIndex=-1" and start the game, maybe it picks up the new resolution during gameplay. Are you using dgVoodoo2 as well?
