yeah that makes more sense but in windows 8 i can't remember anyway other than uninstalling each individual program one at time do you have any how to do it in windows 8

install CCleaner (or another "cleaning" program)

and disable the applications you don't know which start at boot

If you don't want to bother with just finding the application that is causing and would rather just reinstall your OS, there is a better thing you can do. Windows 8 has a built-in "refresh" feature. This will reinstall the whole OS in a way that all your documents and important files are kept but all applications are deleted (a list of all the applications that were deleted will be saved as a text file on the desktop after the refresh). I advise you do this as it'll get rid of whatever is causing your issue but still keep your most important files (like documents, images, etc.).

Edit: You could also remove everything and reinstall windows (again this is built into Windows 8 so you don't need a disc, etc.)

To access the refresh feature, go to the "Charm Bar" (the black bar on the right of the screen) and click "Settings". Then click "Change PC Settings" and try and find the Recovery option if you're in Windows 8. If you're in Windows 8.1 go to "Update and Recovery" then to "Recovery" and the refresh options will be there.

      Hello,
I found this game Revolution from 2002 from Activision Value and Fun Labs.  When I attempt to install it on Windows 10, the setup file seems to run in the background, but doesn't actually lead to an installation.  There is a launcher.exe file which pulls up gui and you can choose "setup" from there, but again, the setup file just runs in the background.
I've attempted to launch both files with compatibility turned off, set to windows 95, windows 98 and XP.  I've attempted to disable fullscreen optimizations and in reduced color mode with also running it as administrator on Windows 10, but it will not work.
If anyone can offer insight on how I can make this happen, I would greatly appreciate it.

This is a copy of the my comment on the DX:MD page and it was suggested to seek support here as well. I would like to know is there is a way to get 32:9 (5120x1440) to work without black bars? I tried editing the executable with HxD and also tried search for the aspect ratio with cheatengine to adjust the known values but nothing seems to work.
Furthermore, why does the article show green for ultrawide, even though it doesn't work?

I have the screenshots for all the settings on Space Hulk Ascension. These are cropped and ready to go. But the upload form says I can't upload them. How can I add these, a search of this forum provides 0 relevant results. Email is verified, please advise.

      Hey!
I found a fix regarding a specific GTA V crash, but I don't know how to add it to its page... I've never edited a Wiki page...
Maybe someone could add it? That way we can forget about tutoring me about this :\
