Yes I know but I don't see the point in covering them at all, people who want mobile games wlll be able to find them anyway. It's as if we started adding PS2 games to the availability table. Optimally we want all the games to be on a single platform (PC).

Ummm... Your sentence doesn't make much sense...

If console version is somehow directly connected to PC version, wiki does cover it. See Portal 2 for example. Or if game is available for browser as well, it's usually covered in availability as well, even though wiki doesn't cover browser only games and there are several games that either started as browser only games or have both browser and dedicated versions being up to date.

I would also say that if some of stores selling PC version of the game includes PS2 version of the game with the purchase, I would most definitely mention that as then you could get two copies of game for the price of one! Same with store including Android version, store is offering more for your money at that point. Covering other platforms exclusively on availability table would be dumb, though I must say that covering mobile only games is basically already happening thanks to windows store and universal apps. But saying "this store offers all plus version for your phone" is beneficial.

Could someone help me with this? I don't know what to write for multiple screenshots of the same menu.

I've decided to start using galleries seeing as I've seen some users actually using these keyboard images on Metal Gear Solid V.

I've decided to start using galleries seeing as I've seen some users actually using these keyboard images on Metal Gear Solid V.

The guide already talks about how to handle this sort of thing:

  • If a menu cannot be completely captured in one screenshot and stitching them together is not an option, upload the screenshots of the menu as a "series". Add a number to each screenshot to distinguish the ordering
    • "(current #/total #)"

So in your case the file caption format will be "In-game keyboard settings (#/3)"

On a related note, for screenshots of remapping menus, just one picture for each input device is enough. The full list of remappable commands is not relevant for the wiki.

I've been finding a few games, such as the original King's Quest (http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/King%27s_Quest:_Quest_for_the_Crown#Version_differences) and Railroad Tycoon II (http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Railroad_Tycoon_II#Version_differences), where there are multiple releases, each with their own differences and features. For such games, I've been adding in a "Version differences" subsection to the Availability section so people can identify what version has what. Since such situations aren't covered by the guide, how should such situations be handled?

Though, it's a bit odd, considering everything is technically just a side note of retail.

That's my thinking as well - I also try to link to the version differences in the retail section where possible - but I'd rather have an official way of handling such situations rather than an unofficial one which may prove in discussions to be sub-optimal.

Considering how many Linux ports are getting announced lately, I think the infobox section should contain a tip on making citations for release dates.

I don't really understand how the link is related, sorry, kinda confused.

PS: These new member icons look so strange.

Oh, and speaking of Linux..

I believe winehq should still be present, even when native versions are available.

Why? Lots of times ports are missing features of the windows version, such as surround sound, multiplayer compatibility or even just (for whatever reason) performance

Oh, and consistency perhaps.

After this crazily stupid debate, I think we should pose more attention to logic. ¹ removed links stupid IP board

I don't think we should consider wrong or bad double buffered vertical sync (we should state that in video settings note and link here for explanations though, or why not, have some of those mouseover tooltip)
The negative point should only be brought up if there's some wicked mechanism like in Dead Space case.

Only then, there should be a specific issues entry, and even in that case (if it's enabled by default) the solution should just be: disable it.
Then for those and only those interested to have it, mention workarounds/alternatives

Hoping this way people could stop seeing the alternative to in-game vsync as the fix for in-game vsync

Oh and then there would still be that thing about fixboxes

Dude like, your posts are honestly unreadable, stop doing that tiny text thingy, it makes everything so much harder to understand. I can't even be bothered to read them because of that.

I know it's mean but I'm not asking for much. Is one of your links broken? Did you mean to link another page? http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Assassin

Actually Mighty Switch Force! Hyper Drive Edition and Mighty Gunvolt vsync introduces so massive input lag people notice it (talking near one second) and indeed disabling or forcing vsync externally, did fix the issues not only for me but for others as well.

Problem was that my monitor was 144Hz and those games are capped at 60 FPS, so that input lag wasn't there with the monitor.

That's still the same IP board bug that is super annoying.

I have no idea what you could possibly be referring to.

I really don't see why you had to do that, it really strains my eyes really badly, I had already asked him if he could stop doing that a while before, it really puts me off from reading anything he writes.

For the tenth time, if it was important I wouldn't have miniaturized the thing in the first place.

Anyway, the second and third links were pointing to Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag and Assassin's Creed Liberation HD

Yes, sorry. Such cases were indeed what I meant when referring to Dead Space.

I've been reading a bunch of PMs I had gotten and Pridit had sent me this a while ago.

http://community.pcgamingwiki.com/topic/415-abandoning-title-case-in-general-information/

Is there a page related to the title case itself? The editing guide is really big right now and I didn't find anything related to it.

Also where should the 60 FPS lock note thing go? In the 60 FPS field or the 120 FPS field? To me it made more sense to place it inside the 60 FPS field seeing as it's less disconnected that way but I'm not sure.
