Compared to changing FOV with the UE4 unlocker, this tool will not produce as much decrease at cutscenes and the FOV will not be reset after each level. Unpack the archive with software like 7zip - the password is pcgw Launch the game Launch the tool and press the keys as instructed All trainers based on CE components may trigger some anti-virus software. Tested the latest Microsoft Store / Game pass version at 2560x1080, 3840x1080 and 5760x1080. You can buy me a coffee here.
  2. Version 1.0

    32 downloads

The game features FMVs and rendered cutscenes that get pillarboxed at 21:9 and wider resolutions. This patcher removes the black bars from the rendered cutscenes and has no effect on the FMVs as there is no way to hack a pre-recorded video to add more content. Simply unpack the archive and patch the main game exe. Tested the latest Steam version at 2560x1080 and briefly at 5760x1080 in both DX modes. You can buy me a coffee or support me on patreon.
  3. Version 1.0

    387 downloads

By default, Mafia II Definitive Edition not only adds black bars to all cutscenes at 21:9 and wider but also simultaneously vertically "crops" pre-recorded FMVs. The two included patchers serve as two options (don't use both!): Remove all black bars - FMVs stay cropped (vert- from 16:9). Remove black bars only from rendered cutscenes and fix FMV scaling. Tested the latest Steam version primarily at 2560x1080, briefly at 3440x1440 and 5760x1080. You can buy me a coffee here or support me on patreon.

  5. Version 1.0

    20 downloads

The tool allows for real-time FOV adjustment and contains pre-set values to match the gameplay FOV at ultrawide resolutions to the vertical of 16:9, with slight deviations at the cutscenes and fight screens. Unpack the archive with software like 7zip or PeaZip - the password is pcgw Launch the game Launch the tool Press the hotkeys to go with a preset or manually adjust FOV in real time Tested the latest Steam version kindly provided by cheswick of /r/ultrawidemasterrace at 2560x1080, 3840x1080 and 5760x1080, although the UI spanning would be very inconvenient at the latter. Please let me know whether this works in the Microsoft Store version, or tell me the process name for it. You can buy me a coffee here.
  6. Version 1.1

    273 downloads

The tool removes black bars from the game in real time at 32:9 and wider resolutions. Compared to the great existing WSGF solution by Helifax, it is compatible with the Game Pass / Microsoft Store version of the game, automatically sets its resolution based on that of the desktop and has no aspect ratio limitations. Unpack the archive with software like 7zip - the password is pcgw Run the game, followed by the tool Press the Enable key as shown Set the fullscreen mode to Borderless and the in-game resolution to any of the available options All tools based on CE components may trigger some anti-virus software. 7. Version 1.6.1

    124 downloads

The tools remove black bars from the in-game cutscenes. Option 1 (reliable; pillarboxing removal): Download and unpack the patcher archive. Use the included tool to patch engine_x64_rwdi.dll inside the main game folder. Re-patch in the event of a game update. This solution has no effect on letterboxing, retaining the native vert- behavior compared to 16:9. Option 2 (less reliable; removes all black bars): Download and unpack the trainer with software like 7zip (password is pcgw). Launch the game, then the tool. Press the shown keys as instructed to remove all black bars in real time. Tested the latest Steam version at 2560x1080 and briefly at, 3440x1440, 5120x1440 and 5760x1080. You can buy me a coffee here.
  8. Version 2.2

    66 downloads

The tool previously allowed to change field of view but as of the May 12, 2020 game update, there is an FOV slider in the game. Now it only allows to remove black bars from the game. Unpack the archive with software like 7zip - the password is pcgw Run the game, followed by the tool Press the shown key to allow for modding at any time Press the black bars removal key - ideally when they first appear All tools based on CE components may trigger some anti-virus software. Tested the latest EGS Vulkan and DX12 game versions at 2560x1080, 3840x1080 and 5760x1080. The pillarboxing removal functionality is reliable while the kill cam black bars removal will need continued updates of this tool. You can buy me a coffee here.

  10. Version 1.0

    134 downloads

The tool removes black bars from most areas at wide resolutions and allows to adjust FOV in real time.
