  7. Regardless of the hassle to judge whether a game supports it I agree with Nicereddy that it should still be included and stated where possible but being hidden unless it's true/hackable. If there's demand for it, and it's relevant then it should be included - we should be aiming to expand the templates as much as possible to give a proper objective overview of games and fully inform readers of what they can expect.
  8. I actually don't mind Uplay that much, sure it's unnecessary but the UI is clean and sleek and it's not too much hassle to get into and boot a game. It's one of the lesser more intrusive DRM out there. Aside from issues in the past I think they've improved the client a lot and personally I prefer it over Origin. I actually have no issue with the Steam overlay, maybe this is a game-by-game basis but I've played several Ubisoft games that require Uplay to launch it without any issue, specifically the Assassin's Creed series.
  9. Continuing HL2 this might be a good one: "Welcome to PCGamingWiki. It's safer here."
  10. GFWL has been a pain ever since it was first introduced, it's long overdue and I'm glad it's going to shut down. It was bloated and caused nothing but hassle for me each and every time I was forced to use it, here's hoping all if not most of the games that use GFWL patch it out.
  11. Heh, just assumed there would be a heck of a lot more. Guess not.
  12. If so, then maybe Garrbot could be used for this, would save a lot of time and hassle.

  15. Just an FYI, this is probably the best order: stub -> cleanup -> review code -> development. Considering there probably won't be more than three per page especially with the recent assignment changes being rotated more frequently I don't think this will be an issue. Stub could probably be replaced with development considering the game is in development and information is likely to change, after the development period if it still isn't completed the stub can be restored. How about something like this?
  16. They should just both be listed, it's pretty awkward if the box art has a different publisher than the one listed in the infobox. I don't think we should choose between them, since they both effectively published the game they should both be listed instead of choosing one over the other based on the points listed. Listing one or the other either way can be equally confusing.
  17. Thanks, I wasn't a fan of the text and couldn't find a nice balance between that and the image so I just decided to remove the text altogether and get a bigger image. I like the simplicity of it and it's not really any effort to switch the graphic out per giveaway and gives a nice visual token to giveaways so it's very easy to know at a glance what game is being given away.
  18. That's fine, but just make it {{pre-alpha}}, {{alpha}}, {{beta}} etc without the dev before it for easy reference.

  22. Attachments should work, I've verified the permissions and they're enabled. Regarding advertisements I've put a notice above all of them stating they're an advertisement (I'm still messing with the design) and I'm going to talk with Andrew about getting the one at the top of the forum moved into the sidebar (see the one on news for an example) so it doesn't take up space and instead blends with the theme naturally. Regarding appearance in general and the black bar, that will need to be discussed a bit further before any changes are made. For staff part of that bar is used to access sections to
  23. There were no boss fights in Mirror's Edge (unless you count the one you chase and then fight, which wasn't really a boss fight anyway). There were a lot of scripted fights which were pretty frustrating particularly in the shard (last level). Try doing that on hard difficulty though like I've done a few times.
  24. All resolved now, I'm still working on the forum so there may be more issues but it's very much a work in progress.
  25. Can we start putting this into action soon? This will be very useful to add to pages rather than dedicating a key point to it as I have been doing. You can decide how to build upon it later but for now we should start getting the ball rolling on getting these added into pages.
