  1. How is this going? Has any progress been made? I very much like the idea of increasing quality.
  2. I also like the simplicity of PC report, it's straight to the point and you know exactly what you're getting. Although this may cause confusion if it's a Mac title? If so, I'd just suggest "Technical Report". It's not catchy but it's clean and concise without any babble. Shame since I was growing quite fond of port report.
  3. Unfortunately it seems this is contested which I wasn't really expecting, considering the poll is half and half (even though I wish LDK and DeadlySuprise had contributed to the discussion) maybe we can come to a compromise? I'm going to just compare with wikipedia quickly, they do not add a references header if there are actually no references which is something I will completely stand behind. It doesn't contribute anything to the article and it's very easy to add to an article when required. This also ties in with the fact an article could be without references forever meaning this is jus
  4. I think I'm going to start to make a move towards this, if there is no further discussion or argument then this will become official. What this entails will be removing the prefix/suffix in the system requirements OS table. Regarding Windows/OS X/Linux being in the table Soeb mentioned I think this will have to be for another discussion but for now I just want to reinforce removing the prefix/suffixes for the reasons mentioned in the OP and in Soeb's post. Upon conclusion I'll also take the liberty of modifying the sample article to reflect this.

  8. I agree with you to an extent on the first point but this is a non-issue, simply leave section editing if you intend on adding a reference and include {{References}} along with the first reference you add isn't exactly difficult and doesn't require any extensive amount of work to achieve. There could very well be no references at all to be put into the article meaning this is just a completely unused header. Well typically an article wouldn't be a stub anymore if there is any placeholder elements. But why is it fine to be left in for a stub article? I think the reader is the one who
  9. This has been bugging me for awhile, but I think it should finally be discussed. Basically I'm referring to the templates such as game data being included in articles, but being left completely blank as placeholder. I don't think this benefits the page in any way, it doesn't provide anything useful and I can't understand why placeholders should be left in the article. They do nothing but take up space, I understand if the article isn't exactly filled out people may be more inclined to add these placeholder templates to fill it out a bit more but I don't think it's warranted enough, if for e

  12. I'm referring to cluttering up the infobox not the page itself, there's currently a maximum of three icons there and I think that's the perfect amount right now. OS X/Linux versions would be noted in key points if they were under development, I haven't found any Kickstarter which provides that information or patches - usually that information is elsewhere like an official website or greenlight page. I just don't see any direct benefit or relevance. I'm in favor of a dedicated page which lists crowd funded games as that could be useful, I just don't believe it should be included in the article
  13. I think cheats should be included, although they may not assist in helping someone get the game working or provide anything technical they are still worthy enough to include under other information providing they are properly condensed and not overly long. An article should be a factual and relevant source for a game, cheats are typically scattered across websites and sometimes even fake so having one area where they are listed alongside other relevant information would go a long way to improving the quality of the article. This is completely open for discussion though, I understand the points
  14. Now that we have updated the infobox it allows us to implement this feature (steamdb, steam charts etc) so this discussion should be revived so a verdict can be reached. Personally I'm opposed as there is little importance to whether a title was crowd funded or not. It provides no technical information or anything really relevant that would improve articles or assist the user, it simply provides some background information about the game in question. Adding redundant information like this will only serve as clutter.
