  1. Quite frankly it should have been implemented fully into the game without having to hack it, but I suppose this is decent enough.
  2. Here's a link to it if anyone would like to add this feature: http://steamdb.info/favicon.ico
  3. Anyone have an idea for the logo we should use? Maybe just the favicon?
  4. The SteamDB is a great source of information for Steam games. While it doesn't have any direct use for fixing games, I think it would be a reasonable addition. It has no notable bias and is purely based on the information they get from Steam's pages. This would require no extra work by editors, as we already have SteamID implemented for infoboxes. I imagine the link would go next to the Wikipedia link. Thoughts? For an example, see the Half-Life 2 page: http://steamdb.info/app/220/
  5. NightSky HD. It wasn't 'panned' necessarily, but it definitely isn't a game many people speak highly of all that often. It was made by the same people who made Cave Story into Cave Story Plus and are in the process of making the enhanced version of The Binding of Isaac. Their games are absolutely great and don't get nearly enough credit for what they do. The game consistently added new, interesting mechanics to a genre (platforming) which generally doesn't get that kind of treatment. It was definitely a surprisingly great game considering I had heard nothing about it before the Humble Bundle.
  6. Team Fortress 2 Portal 2 Half-Life 2 (if you include the episodes) Hotline Miami Terraria The Valve fanboyism is strong in this one.
  7. From what I can find, it looks like Rockstar either abandoned this game on Windows or pretends it just doesn't exist. Have you tried using Compatibility Mode for Windows XP?
  8. What if we changed it so different versions of the same engine (Frostbite, Geo-Mod, CryEngine, etc.) would simply be a separate 'input' so it would look like {{Infobox game/row/engine|Frostbite|2}}?
  9. Good point, I had forgotten about that. I definitely agree, adding those would be overly complicated. Does anyone know if there's a website dedicated to this kind of thing?
  10. I played this a bit on Windows. I definitely think it's the best Counter-Strike game, but for now I'm just playing Counter-Strike: Source since GO doesn't have Linux support. Looking forward to its release, I think I can definitely get into it!
  11. After a petition a few weeks ago Valve has apparently updated Steam pages to include more comprehensive language information. For examples see the Half-Life 2 and Team Fortress 2 pages. While this is helpful, it's unfortunately currently inaccurate. For example, Half-Life 2 definitely has subtitle support but it isn't listed on its Steam page. For now at least, please confirm in the game itself whether or not a game supports subtitles, do not use the Steam page. I also wanted to suggest updating our Audio Settings template to support these new additions. Specifically what languages these games support. Thoughts? Click here to view the article

  13. I don't mind the red links a whole lot, they're only really common on indie games. I think they're more helpful than hurtful, especially for making sure the articles are high quality. I've discovered a lot of poorly-made articles through this system. I can see why it could be annoying, but as we go on the red links will become fairly rare, I think/hope.
  14. Hello everyone! If anyone owns either The Witcher 1 or Postal 2 I would appreciate some help on their pages. For The Witcher we need settings images: http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/The_Witcher For Postal 2 we need the Windows game data location: http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Postal_2 Once we get both those things the pages can be crossed off the GOG.com Enhancement Project, thanks!
  15. Multiplayer mods will likely come out if Rockstar doesn't do anything, but yes it will likely become unplayable for multiplayer.
  16. Can you try making a small line between the two columns? It's visually causing my eyes to jump all over the place and I think that would help clear up some confusion.
  17. I've really been disappointed by Ubisoft's PC offerings recently. Square Enix has Nixxes doing amazing ports, EA has Origin (which I personally kind of like), 2K Games tends to do a pretty good job, and Activision just doesn't ever seem to make anything all that interesting, in my opinion. Ubisoft, however, makes games I'm interested in but refuse to buy because of UPlay and problems like this. It's really annoying, considering they seem to be such a forward-thinking publisher in comparison to others. They've released some of their games on GOG.com, I guess they weren't profitable enough to warrant continuing such a practice.
  18. This sounds like it'd be somewhat hard to test for and a lot of people would have a hard time figuring out whether or not a game supports it. That's not to say it shouldn't be added, but I think it should, at least for now, be like the Oculus row. Only shown if true/hackable.
  19. The Citizen Kane of video game wikis.
  20. As long as it's, by default, left unused I don't think we'd be clogging it up.
  21. I think this is being specifically made for the Steam Box. I'm definitely looking forward to it!
  22. I think a color/colour blindness setting for the Video Settings template may be helpful. The only game I currently know supports it is Monaco. I think it'd be an automatically-unused setting like Oculus Rift support or EAX audio. It would only be listed if true. Thoughts?
  23. YoGPod (iTunes Podcast) - This is, honestly, barely related to video games. However, it's my favorite podcast and run by the Yogscast guys, famous for their Minecraft videos. Giant Bombcast (Podcast) - Gaming podcast by the GiantBomb team. STAR_ (YouTube) - A Team Fortress 2 (and occasionally other games) commentator. In my opinion, the best commentator on YouTube. Rev3Games (YouTube) - A section of Revision3 dedicated to game reviews and news. Includes Adam Sessler. SeaNanners (YouTube) - A YouTube commentator that was one of the big guys that made Minecraft popular. Used to do mainly Minecraft and CoD, now does Garry's Mod and various Source engine modifications, mostly. anangrysockpuppet (YouTube) - Does Source Film Maker videos, mostly involving Team Fortress 2. Really weird but humorous style of video.
