    Would you please use F1 - F2 - F3 - F4 - F5 - F11 - F12 as hotkeys in future updates?

    Open \patches\main.patch in a text editor and change the hotkeys

    #bind [PRESSED:VK_F5] → #bind [PRESSED:VK_F1]

    #bind [PRESSED:VK_F6] → #bind [PRESSED:VK_F2]

    #bind [PRESSED:VK_F7] → #bind [PRESSED:VK_F3]

    If there's anything else that might be helpful I definitely appreciate it so much!

    Try hardcoded 2560x1080 - ffxiiiHC.rar password - pcgw

    Copy ffxiiiimg.exe to "\FINAL FANTASY XIII\white_data\prog\win\bin\"

    Hotkeys and Settings.ini are not available in this case.

    To get a custom resolution, you need to change the bytes at these offsets

    22E3568 00 0A 00 00
    22E356C 38 04 00 00

    Hi. Followed directions as exactly. Do I need to install any other programs along with the ultrawide fix? The black pillarboxed bars are still present. Thanks! [I use a 2560 x 1080p ultrawide monitor maybe that's why it will not work?]

    *Update* Tried it on my roommate's pc and they use a 3440 x 1440p ultrawide monitor and it worked perfectly.

    2560x1080 resolution is definitely not the reason why it doesn't work. It works fine for me.

    Maybe there is some problem with the loader.

    Try this version with a different loader - ffXIIIASI.zip

    • Unpack the archive
    • Copy all files into two game folders
    1. "\FINAL FANTASY XIII\"
    2. "\FINAL FANTASY XIII\white_data\prog\win\bin\"
    • Set the resolution in both files
    1. "\FINAL FANTASY XIII\Settings.ini"
    2. "\FINAL FANTASY XIII\white_data\prog\win\bin\Settings.ini"

    yes, exactly the same problem. game runs fine in 21:9. ranged attacks are no problem, but if you use a melee attack the game just crashes. i am currently on the newest steam based version of the game.

    .exe details mentioned above are correct, my .exe has all the required checksums and its still not working.

    Same exact issue here. The game crashes right away on pressing melee button.

    I can't reproduce this crash and therefore fix it.

    Try switching to DX12

    Open dmc5config.ini

    Change

    Capability=DirectX11

    TargetPlatform=DirectX11

    to

    Capability=DirectX12

    TargetPlatform=DirectX12

    Thank you!

    But i'm having an issue...

    Whenever i press the melee attack button, the game freezes and then crashes... Is it only me?

    Maybe your version is not supported. I tested the fix on the current Steam version.

    Check DevilMayCry5.exe hash.

    Before the patch it should be

    Quote

    Name: DevilMayCry5.exe
    Size: 138717568 bytes (132 MiB)
    CRC32: 7F654973
    CRC64: 6347A97770DF3511
    SHA256: 755767E9D94886F0F6872A9BD80D218DAE207E1BA13D1854D79BE40FDD9FB4E6
    SHA1: 5A219514D2B8BC8BD292AEBA5F3572D2F8AF0770
    BLAKE2sp: 305EF80D6E74434691488083CAF2697C3902B9B0F8525BE4C040F46611845080

    After the patch it should be

    Quote

    Name: DevilMayCry5.exe
    Size: 138717568 bytes (132 MiB)
    CRC32: 33CEB996
    CRC64: 72F47962A100C9C5
    SHA256: A3B9E7CFD82B10EA274DD0352D5F137D34A642B13F4DB88320938F5A5F63CEF6
    SHA1: E2EAF7CCE9442999BBF37682A080D814C2F6913B
    BLAKE2sp: 96EEEDE58DAA99AAACB907086BFC4921D25270F15AC5B74A6E436A85ECAD6635

    If the hashes don't match, it means your version is unsupported and the fix won't work.

  6. The fix doesn't work with tenkeyless keyboards unfortunately since it doesn't recognize the FN+5/6 combination on those...

    To change hotkeys, open "patches\main.patch" file in the text editor.

    Сhange these values

    #bind [PRESSED:VK_F5]
    #bind [PRESSED:VK_F6]
    #bind [PRESSED:VK_F7]

    to the keys you want.
