  1. Version 0.1

The trainer removes black bars from the game at 21:9 and wider. Unlike the existing solution, it works with Game Pass and any aspect ratio. Unpack the archive - the password is pcgw Launch the game, followed by the tool. Press the key as instructed to enable and disable the solution in real time. Press Alt+Enter twice or switch to a different window mode and back for proper application. Known issues (as with the existing solution): Pre-rendered cutscenes are stretched. Post-process effects scale improperly, resulting in washed out image the wider i
  2. Thanks. I updated the patcher to cover all versions. It successfully patches your file now.
  3. Hi. Can you send me your file? The Steam version may have differences in the code.
  4. Thank you for reporting the issue and sharing your save files. Save 4 was very helpful in allowing me to go over the cutscene again. I changed more code and updated the patcher but it's a more drastic change compared to the previous, so it would be helpful if you could restore the original exe and then patch it with the latest version and tell me how it goes as you play, paying attention to the gameplay scaling as well. I'm attaching the before and after screenshots of the scene, though they are not of one frame.
  5. Could you share your save file and tell me what to do to reproduce the issue? Just to clarify though - are we talking about FMVs or cutscenes rendered by the engine in real time?
  6. Version 1.0

The tool allows to adjust field of view in real time, displaying the current value. It also corrects the vertical FOV decrease at ultrawide and wider resolutions. Download and unpack the archive using software like 7zip or PeaZip. The password is pcgw Launch the game, followed by the tool. Press the keys as instructed. Tested the latest Microsoft Store / Game Pass version at 2560x1080, 3840x1080 and 5760x1080. The AR to FOV automation code is inspired by killer-m's work. You can buy me a coffee here.
  7. The game certainly has crashes affecting all types of users since release (see this, for example), so my previous posts were in relation to the recent crash reports thought to be tied to the trainer by the players. One of them actually bought the game on Steam just yesterday and reported no longer having the frequent crashes. As such, for anyone using the pirated version I would recommend at least trying the game on Steam or Epic within the refund window to see whether it makes a difference.
  8. It takes changing the game code to bypass its protection, thus introducing unexpected behavior. You can also see that the tool has been downloaded by a lot of people but the influx of reports of crashes (3 so far) is new despite the lack of recent updates on my end. The only drastic thing changed since a year ago is that the game was cracked, making it my best guess.
  9. It's hard to imagine this being a driver issue. My suspicion is that the recently reported crashes relate to illegal copies of the game, provided the version of the trainer is up to date - 3.5 (as of this writing). I cannot remember seeing any crash reports in the past, except in cases of using outdated versions of the tool uploaded to other sites.
  10. I do not have the game on Steam to test it but I remade the same trainer with the Steam exe in mind and uploaded it. The old patchers should also work as long as the exe is not protected by Steam DRM.
  11. Not until we globally change the definition of ultra-widescreen, as I explained to you earlier. I'm for it and I actually proposed that the wiki covers more aspect ratios a while back on Discord.
  12. I made the changes after giving it enough time for others to react. Any wording or formatting improvement suggestions are still welcome.
  13. Version 1.0

The patcher removes black bars at all resolutions, although it does not address the UI cropping issues present in the game at 21:9 and wider, making it likely inapplicable to 32:9. The in-game notes can be read without closely inspecting them to work around the issue. Simply unpack the archive and follow the instructions to patch the specified game file. Thanks to Dopefish for playing through the game to test the solution at 2560x1080. You can buy me a coffee here.
  14. Here is a modified version of czarman's 3440x1440 solution made for 2560x1080.
  15. Here is a modified version of czarman's 3440x1440 solution made for 2560x1080.
  16. The current recommendation to use turquoise was introduced in April 2016 even though the wiki already had its blue color scheme evident in the logo, header and footer elements, as well as the table colors used to this day. Apart from the Editing guide button on the front page, there is nothing in the current wiki colors I can think of that is anywhere near turquoise. (blue used for the site elements, Windows turquoise/blue bright, logo blue) Moreover, most gamers now use Windows 10, and the latest versions of the system allow to set any color for the window borders.
  17. You can submit the file to Microsoft or other AV vendor depending on what you use to have them no longer flag it as malicious. Someone or I might have done it with the first version but it's impractical to do it every time.
  18. Version 1.1.1

The tool allows to remove black bars from the game at 21:9 and wider and increase or decrease field of view in real-time at any resolution. Prior to the October 7 update, it compensated for the natively reduced FOV and lacking FOV slider, now resulting in increased vertical FOV with the bars removed. Download and unpack the archive using software like 7zip or PeaZip. The password is pcgw Launch the game, followed by the tool. Press the keys as instructed. Tested the latest Microsoft Store / Game Pass and Steam versions at 2560x1080.
  19. I disassemble, then create scripts of varying degrees of complexity to memory inject based on my goal. There are a lot of tutorials on reverse engineering and Cheat Engine but I can't recommend any one in particular, as my knowledge is based on common sense, trial and error indeed.
  20. Hi. Are you using the latest version of the trainer? As for your other question, the simplest way would be to generate it in Cheat Engine.
  21. The YFOV tweak simply turns the in-game values vertical, meaning that there would be no "fish eye" effect if the value is reduced with that in mind (68 for parity with the default 100). Making any config tweaks is likely unnecessary for 21:9, as the in-game values of up to 130 are enough to compensate for the vert- scaling, but not at 32:9. The true benefit of this patcher is the partial increase of the viewmodel FOV.
  22. I launched the Game Pass version just now and the trainer worked as before. The new merchants were present, so it was the newest version.
  23. That is working as expected. It's how the developers designed the UI, knowing it would just slide from the otherwise hidden area. You will see the same thing in Jurassic Park from Telltale if you use the ultrawide patcher.
  24. I tested the trainer right after the update and just now. Each feature is still working on my end. As for the patchers, they need to be re-applied because the executable got updated.
