  1. I try to avoid accepting offers of this nature, as there is no way to know what's to expect. Every single game has its own code, so one could end up being really complex, while there would be a lot of pressure to complete the fix. It's the fastest way to burning out. I also have been quite busy with The Medium and the PCGW coverage of Werewolf, putting in many hours of work and hardly getting any sleep as of late. It's a double-edged sword, as I'm also happy with the community interest in this one and the benefits to users of all setups. Thanks for trusting in my ability to fix the g
  2. Fixed this issue specific to split-screen and particularly prominent at 48:9 in the latest version. There was a game effect that multiplied the current FOV depending on which object is active, which caused a severe FOV increase at very wide resolutions.
  3. Please read the description of Option 1. Most cutscenes are rendered in real time.
  4. I used one of your injection points and another one inspired me to dig further today. More details on WSGF 😁
  5. Thanks again for the support. I'm glad it worked for your resolution. It's always been the goal. Sadly, I do not have access to Nioh 2 to help out but with its native 21:9 support it shouldn't be too hard to fix it for 32:9. Hopefully someone like Stevie or KingKrouch looks into it.
  6. That looks like another inaccurate reference point. Ignore the way the game appears at 16:9 on your end. Here is the way it really is at 16:9, from another video:
  7. I think you're comparing it wrong. Disabling the fix but not reloading the level will result in an FOV increase even at 16:9. Here is the same level from a random YouTube video:
  8. Try the latest version 1.2 but make sure to enable the trainer before loading into a location.
  9. Version 1.0

The tool allows to change the game field of view freely in real time, addressing the potential issue of narrow default FOV. It also perfectly corrects the vertical FOV inconsistencies affecting all wider resolutions, including 21:9, 32:9 and 48:9 - see the screenshots for some of the exact differences. Unpack the archive with software like 7zip or PeaZip using the password pcgw Launch the game, followed by the trainer. Press the keys as instructed to FOV correct and enable manual adjustment. Tested the latest Epic Games Store version mainly at 2560x1080, 3840x1080 and

  11. I think I may have tried the same thing yesterday. Modifying one of the functions tied to the 39 8E E3 3F aspect ratio is separate from the split screen aspect ratio but then it's not enough to interact with the clock on the very first level while holding Ctrl. The other function helps but it's also the one that controls the split screen, limiting its width if corrected with the icons in mind like you described. They are probably separated somewhere down the line but it's a lot to dig through.
  12. It's automated and calculated based on the resolution but it plays no role in the interaction icons correction. For the sake of looking at the offsets, it is as good as manual FOV adjustment and aspect ratio changes through the bytes of the WSGF post. Using the UE4 unlocker to hotsample is another valid option.
  13. Hi. I've not come across this issue before. It may be an issue of permissions, as Flawless Widescreen requires to be run as an administrator.
  14. Thanks. For the prompts it's just the basic change of 39 8E E3 3F. I explained the behavior in a bit more detail in this post.
  15. That would suggest the issue stems from modifications made to the file by you though, not the trainer. It makes no changes to the game files and restores the original code in the memory when you press F8 again. For some display modes or other variables, it may also require pressing alt+enter twice to have the game read from its original code again.
  16. Look up reverse engineering software on YouTube to get started 😁 Contrary to the popular belief, it usually takes many hours of disassembling, and few games are properly fixed by searching for the well-known aspect ratio or Unreal Engine 4 FOV-related bytes. If they are, the solutions are usually available on day one because every advanced ultrawide user knows them by now. From the developer standpoint, it's easier than it is from mine because they already have all their functions defined and documented as classes and such, while to me every game is a black box with many lines of pure ass
  17. I'm sure about it, yes. Putting my trainer aside, replacing 3B 8E E3 3F and increasing the FOV should result in severe offsets to the interaction icons, but none should be out of reach. Replacing 39 8E E3 3F with your aspect ratio bytes will cause the first room table icon and the main red room interaction buttons to disappear. Replacing 39 8E E3 3F with a lower aspect ratio value may be of some use but then the split screen scenes will be limited in width.
  18. Hi. This is covered by my description of softlocks at 32:9. As such, the trainer is not to be used at 32:9 at all unless you want to play 21:9 windowed or constantly toggle on and off. I know it can be disappointing and it is to me as well, as I always try to cover the most common wide aspect ratios or ideally even have the tools adapt to any screen size, as it was with this one and evidenced by the 24:10 report. Sadly, some elements just get cropped out or become inaccessible past a certain point and there is currently no workaround apart from modifying the 3B 8E E3 3F bytes as seen in the po
  19. Thanks. Based on my limited testing, the icons are more or less where they should be at 21:9 with this fix compared to the earlier manual fix. It's a real problem at 32:9 and wider. What is your aspect ratio?
  20. Version 2.1

The tools for Microsoft Store/Game Pass, Steam, GOG, and potentially other game versions remove black bars from the game at 48:9 and wider, also correcting the vertical field of view at 21:9 and wider to match that of 16:9. Unpack the archives with software like 7zip or PeaZip using the password pcgw Launch the game and set Panini Projection to off in Advanced Display settings. Launch the trainer and press the button as instructed. All trainers containing CE components may trigger some anti-virus software. You can buy me a coffee or become a patron.
  21. Yes, you run the game, then the trainer, then you press the hotkey in the main menu and that's it. If already playing, you'd also have to follow the Render Resolution instruction of the trainer. As for the false flagging, it's common and affects all trainers built on CE components. If reasonably paranoid, you can submit it to your AV vendor by following the links in the article I shared. The chances are the vendor will update their database to no longer flag it as malicious.
  22. Most Microsoft Store apps do not allow to edit the files. I just uploaded a newly made trainer to memory hack that version of Control and achieve the same thing.

    Noita ultrawide mod

I see no major changes to the base game code for the warning to matter. Debug lines aside, there is one localization string introduced and one UI damage offset slightly changed. Regardless, I added the new strings to the mod just now. How do you know that it's the cause of the restarts?
  24. Hello. By now, I think that Microsoft have already removed the false flagging of the current version of the trainer. You could follow these links to submit it to your AV vendor to review. For Microsoft, it usually takes hours to a day to react and update their database if necessary. Assuming you have no third-party AV software installed, you could try adding the file to the list of exclusions of Windows Security.
