  1. Hi. Do you have a legally purchased copy of the game? Edit: Downloaded the game and tested the solution - still working.
  2. Version 0.5.1

    93 downloads

The patchers remove black bars at 21:9 and 32:9 resolutions, matching the vertical gameplay FOV of 16:9. After unpacking the archive, select the patcher that best matches your resolution, then target the file found in \DisasterReport4\Binaries\Win64\ inside the game folder. Known issues: UI misalignment. Press alt+enter to briefly switch to Windowed if you have a hard time navigating the main menu. The compass can be disabled altogether through a game option. Occasional flickering at cutscenes when the game transitions between scenes through snapshots. FOV is adjusted to the gameplay, resulting in a slight vertical decrease at the cutscenes. Tested the latest GOG version at 2560x1080, 3440x1440 and 3840x1080. Verify your game files, adapt and follow the first steps of the Bloodstained guide if you encounter an error message after patching the Steam version of the game. You can buy me a coffee here.

The tool allows for real-time FOV adjustment and contains pre-set values to match the gameplay FOV at ultrawide resolutions to the vertical of 16:9, with slight deviations at the cutscenes and fight screens. Unpack the archive with software like 7zip or PeaZip - the password is pcgw Launch the game Launch the tool Press the hotkeys to go with a preset or manually adjust FOV in real time Tested the latest Steam version kindly provided by cheswick of /r/ultrawidemasterrace at 2560x1080, 3840x1080 and 5760x1080, although the UI spanning would be very inconvenient at the latter. Please let me know whether this works in the Microsoft Store version, or tell me the process name for it. You can buy me a coffee here.
  4. Thanks. It would be nice to give credit to jackfuste who posted the vignette bytes for RE2 and Cielos who posted the Cheat Table which included the anti-cheat bytes now found within the FWS script.
  5. Tested as working in the latest Game Pass version in the "Anti-Cheat Disabled" mode just now. I don't have access to the Steam version but it should be on par with this one.
  6. See if it's the right exe now.
  7. You are quoting from an old report of an issue that's been fixed for a couple of months now. It was very specific in that it only affected cutscenes - the UI would get removed but the cutscene wouldn't progress, allowing the player to move around freely instead. It did not affect interactive scenes where you can punch or shoot people. The tool also does not rely on that operation anymore. However, if you are absolutely certain that the issue is caused by the tool, not a game bug, you can send me your save file and tell me the steps I need to take to reproduce it.

The patcher unlocks 21:9 and any other resolutions unavailable in the game, however the UI will be too cropped to navigate every settings menu at anything wider. Played the latest Steam demo at 2560x1080 for about 30 minutes and very briefly at 3840x1080 to test the solution. Please leave a comment to let me know how it works in the full Epic version. You can buy me a coffee here.
  9. I can rename the archives in this particular case based on your feedback. You can also communicate directly with skipclarke via the WSGF Discord server that can be found through the website.
  10. The false flagging by Google left the founder of WSGF with no choice but to reupload all of the hundreds of files. He's been doing it manually and with almost no outside help. It's natural that some of the files do not have perfect descriptions, as the original authors have nothing to do with the uploads anymore. It would be easier for you to try out each one than it has been for skipclarke to preserve the files as they are.
  11. That's close to how it is. I've not been offered another opportunity but I also don't think I would take it knowing I wouldn't have access to the game in the future. Since Octopath, I've been making patchers and trainers that are usually very reliable and working for months if not years but there's still no guarantee an update wouldn't result in significant code changes and break them - thus the mention of maintenance.
  12. I had brief access to the game through a shared account. I wasn't a fan of the idea at all because I knew that would mean no further maintenance. Sorry about this.
  13. I got it just now without even running the tool, so it must be unrelated to it. Pressing alt+enter sorted it out. Here's a reddit thread with similar reports. The tool still works - I ran it after addressing the issue and tested the features. Edit: Documented the issue and working fixes in the wiki article.
  14. Looking at Borderlands 3 currently lacking macOS support on Steam while having it on Epic, I can't help but think of this post!

The tool removes black bars from the game in real time at 32:9 and wider resolutions. Compared to the great existing WSGF solution by Helifax, it is compatible with the Game Pass / Microsoft Store version of the game, automatically sets its resolution based on that of the desktop and has no aspect ratio limitations. Unpack the archive with software like 7zip - the password is pcgw Run the game, followed by the tool Press the Enable key as shown Set the fullscreen mode to Borderless and the in-game resolution to any of the available options All tools based on CE components may trigger some anti-virus software. Tested the latest Game Pass version at 5120x1440 and 11520x1080. You can buy me a coffee here.
  16. Temporarily disabling all anti-virus software aside, I can't think of anything.
  17. Use the trainer. UWP apps' files are protected from modification.
  18. Thanks. 3840x2560 is a 3:2 resolution and 1280x768 is 15:9 but what we're seeing in the screenshots - knowing the image fills the screen on your end - matches the horizontal FOV of 21:9. As such, I would disregard the issues as they do not affect the gameplay. Similarly to my general Dragon Quest Builders 2 mod advice, I would suggest taking screenshots with Shadowplay or any other third-party tool.
  19. I installed the Game Pass version today and tested the trainer. Every feature is working on my end. As before, make sure the game is launched first, then press the toggle keys. Make sure your physical keyboard buttons are functional as well.
  20. Can you share a few of the screenshots, preferably of the first level of the game so I could try to reproduce the issue if necessary?
  21. Provided you have followed each step, the resolution shown in the game is likely inaccurate. Do you notice any stretching? You can also take a screenshot and look at its resolution to make sure it's 3440x1440.
  22. It's in the second line in the file description on this very page. Per the Files policy.

The tools remove black bars from the in-game cutscenes. Option 1 (reliable; pillarboxing removal): Download and unpack the patcher archive. Use the included tool to patch engine_x64_rwdi.dll inside the main game folder. Re-patch in the event of a game update. This solution has no effect on letterboxing, retaining the native vert- behavior compared to 16:9. Option 2 (less reliable; removes all black bars): Download and unpack the trainer with software like 7zip (password is pcgw). Launch the game, then the tool. Press the shown keys as instructed to remove all black bars in real time. Tested the latest Steam version at 2560x1080 and briefly at, 3440x1440, 5120x1440 and 5760x1080. You can buy me a coffee here.
  24. Very strange. The green text is a good sign though. Are you on the latest game version? What is your resolution? Can you confirm that you press F8 at kill cameras or cutscenes, not before or after them?
