  1. You probably have the game exe patched for more FOV and you're adding even more to it with the trainer? Try verifying the game files and only using the trainer. Make sure there are no config modifications to the FOV.
  2. Both solutions result in more vertical FOV compared to 16:9. Max out the in-game FOV and take a screenshot at 16:9 without the fixes, then do the same at 21:9 after applying either of them. Moreover, even if the tools behaved the way you say, the trainer still allows for custom FOV adjustment without any limitations. Here is native 16:9 vs 21:9 and 120 in-game FOV with the trainer "21:9" adjustment applied, no custom FOV corrections to match perfectly.

The tool allows to adjust FOV in real time with hotkeys. It can be also used to compensate for the vert- scaling at resolutions wider than 16:9. It works at rendered cutscenes, wardrobe, split screen and so forth. It also dynamically displays the current FOV. All trainers based on CE components may trigger some anti-virus software. The password for the archive is pcgw Tested the latest Epic Games version at various resolutions. You can buy me a coffee here.

The tools included here remove side black bars (pillarboxing) from the cutscenes and adjust FOV for parity with 16:9. The trainer is based on CE components and may trigger some anti-virus software. It allows for fully hor+ FOV adjustment. The password for its archive is pcgw The patchers allow for hor+ FOV adjustment on the horse and simultaneously hor+ and vert- while on foot and at cutscenes. Tested the latest GOG version at 2560x1080, 3840x1080 and 5760x1080. You can buy me a coffee here.
  5. Thanks for the feedback! For some reason I haven't been getting notifications in the past two days but I saw your reply earlier today and fixed the issue just now. It took quite a bit of an overhaul, so I set the new version to 1.5
  6. Are you looking in \Arise\Binaries\Win64\ rather than the main folder?

The patchers for 21:9, 32:9 and 48:9 resolutions remove black bars from the game - the pillarboxing from the gameplay and the windowboxing from the cutscenes. Installation instructions are available within the patchers. Tested at 2560x1080, 3840x1080 and 5760x1080 on a single monitor. Giving back to the community with this one! The tools for Steam and Microsoft versions of Halo: Reach remove black bars at cutscenes in real time for ultrawide, superwide and triple monitor resolutions. The password for the archives is pcgw Play the game in the Anti-Cheat Disabled mode for this to work. Launch the game first, then the tool. The tool is a trainer based on CE components that may trigger some anti-virus software. Making it into a patcher is not possible for Xbox and would be inconvenient to Steam users, as it would likely require replacing files before each launch in the anti-cheat-enabled mode. Tested the Xbox / Microsoft store version at 2560x1080 and 5760x1080. You can buy me a coffee here.
  9. I've been playing games since the early 90's mostly on PC but occasionally on the NES, then Sega and briefly PS2. I've not stumbled upon Halo at all, so all I know of it is from others. Nostalgia aside, what's a good reason to get into it now in 2019? What's special about the series?
  10. @Deventer11 The patchers still work. You just need to re-patch
  11. The first steps of the linked guide must be followed
  12. I agree but there's no other simple way around the problem.

The patcher unlocks all resolutions unavailable in the game, whether they're narrower or wider than 1920x1080. Setting the game to a resolution wider than 16:9 results in cropped and misplaced UI elements. At 21:9, the main menu controls are accessible, whereas the rest can be reached by briefly switching to 1920x1080. At 48:9, fully navigating the menu and reading from the score screen may be impossible, though the same workaround of briefly switching to 1920x1080 may help with the menu. The gameplay and the spanned HUD appear to be without notable flaws, however it is best to avoid buying the game intending to get it fixed with this solution. It is flawed and intended to be first tested by current game owners or those willing to have a look at it in order to decide whether to ask for a refund.

The patchers for 21:9, 32:9 and 48:9 resolutions remove black bars from the game while maintaining the vertical FOV of 16:9. Steam users must first unpack the exe found in \Terminator\Binaries\Win64\ within the game folder as instructed here The game article on the wiki has simple steps on increasing the FOV to preference. Alternatively, use a patcher intended for a wider resolution. Tested the latest Steam version at 2560x1080, 3840x1080 and 5760x1080. The game copy was generously funded by AlRayes of Ultrawide Benchmarks. You can buy me a coffee here.
  15. Thanks for the feedback! I can't play through every game I mod at the rate they've been coming out, so it's really valuable to me. @Just!cE I updated the trainer just now to have it behave like the previous versions. It's indirect FOV adjustment but you absolutely had a point. @frozenboy You have to have enabled the "Custom FOV toggle" option first. I slightly reworded this in the latest version for more clarity. I could also have it activate at launch but that would be less reliable and giving the user less control.
  16. That should be all fixed now. I think it was related to the latest update.
  17. Could you share the save files prior to it and tell me where to go? They're found in %USERPROFILE%\Saved Games\Respawn\JediFallenOrder\
  18. That is precisely why developers implement black bars. As in film, they try not to waste resources on things that would be out of view - though, of course, they could also invest in large teams for testing every scene at 48:9 to cater to everyone. Remember the coffee cup in Game of Thrones that would normally be behind the scenes? This video on The Walking Dead would help understand how games are made as well.
  19. The message isn't related to files outside of the RDR2 folder. It may be caused by mods like Legal Screen Skip that have to be placed in it, but there is no way to know which ones trigger the warning.
  20. That is normally related to having extra files within the game folder. My tool doesn't have to be in it.

The tool removes black bars from cutscenes, resulting in more horizontal and vertical FOV by default but also allows for custom real time FOV adjustment. Unpack the archive with software like 7zip or PeaZip - the password is pcgw Launch the game first, followed by the tool. All trainers based on CE components may trigger some anti-virus software. Tested the latest Origin version at 2560x1080 and 5760x1080. You can buy me a coffee here.

The patcher makes the game use ultrawide and wider resolutions. Patch the game file as instructed by the tool. Remove %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\PenduloStudios\Blacksad\config.bs if present. Launching the game should have it default to the desktop resolution, regardless of what is displayed in the settings. Making changes to Video - Advanced settings 1 will reset the resolution. Restart the game to have it return to the proper resolution after applying any graphics settings within that menu. Tested the latest GOG version briefly at 2560x1080 and 5760x1080 You can buy me a coffee here.
  23. In private correspondence it turned out the hardware F11 key was not functional on D-Tunez' end, so I suggested using On-Screen Keyboard which can be easily found by searching for it on Windows. Click on the Fn key in the bottom left corner, then select F11 or any other key that may be physically broken. In the future I will look into adding checkboxes to the tool UI to take care of issues of this nature.
  24. Do the other buttons function? All I can think of is your anti-virus software being allowed to run the first versions but blocking the new.
