Fix for the impossible jump in the original North American release of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The European release (Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles) and the North American re-release (Version 2.0) are already patched. Extract the DATA folder and its contents to the installation folder (confirm the replacement of the existing files when prompted). This fix replaces L3-06.ATP and L3-06.MPP with the corrected versions used in later releases.

    Call of duty 2

Did you install the DirectX End-User Runtimes and remove the SwiftShader DLL from the installation folder?

    Call of duty 2

Did you install the DirectX files? Modern versions of Windows don't include this. Many games install it during setup, but it's certainly something to try.
  8. Version 2.20.903.0

    167 downloads

This is a generic 32-bit version of the InstallShield 2 setup engine. This file can be used as a replacement installer for games that use 16-bit versions of InstallShield 2. To determine if the game uses InstallShield, check the list of files that are in the setup directory (normally, there should be a dedicated folder for the installer somewhere on the game disk). If the file "_inst32i.ex_" is included, then the game uses InstallShield in some form. From there, the version of the installer currently used needs to be verified to ensure that the replacement file will work. In the setup folder, find a "SETUP.EXE", "SETUP32.EXE", or other similarly named files. Once the installer is found, right click it, select "Properties", and go to the "Version"/"Details" tab. If the "Product version" and/or "File version" fields have a value along the lines of 2.xx.xxx.x, then the game uses version 2 of the setup engine and is compatible with this file. For specific details on installer use, check the game article that requires it. For generic instructions, check the link at the top of this description.

    Call of duty 2

The DLL error you got is probably because you don't have the older DirectX files installed. Install the DirectX End-User Runtimes and remove the SwiftShader DLL from the installation folder.
  10. This is normal. Some store links have an affiliate ID included automatically. This currently applies to Amazon.com, Amazon.co.uk, GamersGate, Gamesplanet, GOG.com, Green Man Gaming, and Uplay.

    HDR as a Video Setting

HDR support is now implemented. Supported values are true/false/hackable/unknown. The row is hidden when set to unknown. Note that some games with advertised HDR updates have only actually been updated for this on consoles (as is the case with Gears of War 4), so for those it can be mentioned in the notes.

  15. I am reviving this subject as a new topic since the previous discussion went more into the status of Steam as DRM rather than the ways of representing this information on the wiki. I would prefer an ID distinction over the current use of the standard DRM-free ID since Steam can introduce some additional caveats (e.g. Steam DLLs attempting to launch Steam) that are not present with services that allow downloading the game directly. I have made a basic example of one solution at User:Garrett/Availability/sandbox. Such an implementation retains both the requirement of the client for installation and the lack of the client requirement for subsequent gameplay. The ID would then links to an explanation of that type.

    List of PCGW issues

Button prompt alignment is fixed for games that specify all four prompt types (e.g. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas). Vertical alignment is fixed for the Generic prompt type (which previously didn't line up vertically with other prompt types).

    List of PCGW issues

Availability table DRM column width is now working for games with three types of DRM (e.g. Grand Theft Auto IV).

    List of PCGW issues

Tooltip display is now fixed for Template:ID and Template:Infobox game. Other affected templates could be fixed in the same way. I have expanded some of the DRM tooltips in Template:ID at the same time. Most are still just the client name because this template is also used in the keys column.

This should be fixed now. EDIT: I have also fixed the issue with the Engine infobox not showing the specified release dates.

    Capitalization of game titles

The standard has been to use title case, although it seems this wasn't actually mentioned in the editing guide yet. Many of the differing pages have been made by Vetlebot; these get names as given on the Steam store. There probably isn't an ideal solution for this (filtering the titles when importing would break things like NBA 2K18 where the name contains acronyms). MediaWiki searching has never been great, but sacrificing human readability of titles isn't the best solution. I'm not opposed to changing the case for sections and tables, but this would need further feedback since section headings are part of the actual page text (whereas the tables themselves are templates so can be tweaked on a whim).
