TimeShift final patch packaged for the Steam release. This file was originally downloaded from the Steam Community guide.
  2. Version 2.06B_int

Official patch for Lego Chess. The original WinZip Self-Extractor has been repackaged as a standard Zip file.
  3. I have updated the input settings template to always show haptic feedback when it is set to true or hackable.

Unreal Engine 3 frame rate unlocking template

You should add this information to the engine page as well (something like this is present but the steps are a bit different).

Is Special Pages -> Export broken?

5000 pages is MediaWiki's limit for the Special:Export category feature (details). This limit does not apply to page names entered manually. If you don't want to use the API a quick way to grab a full list is to click and drag over the names on Category:Games and copy-paste that into the Special:Export box, repeating for each additional page of results in the category, then start the export once you have the full list. Do you have a particular use in mind? If your interest is in the settings information you can query this through Special:Ask (or the API) using one or more properties to find and display the information you're wanting to see (Semantic MediaWiki has extensive documentation for this). You could also use this to make a reduced list of relevant pages for Special:Export etc. If you have any further questions feel free to ask. You can also usually find some of us in the Discord server. (For reference, PCGamingWiki content is available under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial Share Alike license.)
  6. The Semantic Result Formats extension should be installed. This would enable use of the DataTables display format (example). The search box applies a full or partial match for the keyword(s) to all result data for that query, even data that is currently off the page--note how the "Show # entries" and "Previous/Next" controls directly update the display instead of loading a different page. As an example with this wiki's data, you could put the operating system name in the search box (on its own or together with other keywords) to show only games for that system, etc. (For reference, the Cargo extension also supports the DataTables display format, so this sort of searching would still be available if the wiki switched to that extension).
  7. Version

Official installation files for Microsoft Games for Windows - LIVE. This package contains the last version of the Marketplace client ( and the last version of the Redistributable ( Uninstall the Microsoft Games for Windows Marketplace client and the Microsoft Games for Windows - LIVE Redistributable (if either is installed), then extract all files and run gfwlivesetup.exe. This package contains the following official downloads packaged together for convenience: gfwlivesetup.exe gfwlclient.msi xliveredist.msi (renamed from XLiveUpdate.msi to xliveredist.msi to enable detection by gfwlivesetup.exe) wllogin_32.msi and wllogin_64.msi (this installation step is skipped automatically on Windows 8 and later)
  8. Most games can have AA/AF/Vsync forced successfully, so it is more useful to note the cases where this capability does not work as expected. Last month I updated Template:Video settings to show default notes when AA/AF/Vsync is set to false without a note specified, so cases where support has been set to false without further explanation suggest a likely solution. Working methods specific to a game (INI edit, mod, Nvidia flag, etc.) should be set to hackable as always.

    Star Wraith: Shadows of Orion

Full version of Star Wraith: Shadows of Orion. Re-released as freeware in 2006.
  11. The infobox isn't the ideal place for this. Games with source code available will usually have multiple community projects to choose from and/or have the active project hosted somewhere separate from the initial source code release so there isn't a single best site to link to.
  12. Great find! This has been updated now (pages using the old names will continue to work as expected--I'll update those over time).

    Add Viveport to available stores

Great, I have added Viveport as a store now.

    Form-based editing test

I have mostly fixed the width issues (it was using a class that enforced a maximum width). Text box width isn't entirely consistent because the form types don't directly support auto/percentage width (from what I can see) so this would have to be set via CSS.
  15. I have made an initial version of the form interface for editing game pages. See Development:Forms for some sample pages to experiment with. This is an initial version to demonstrate the viability of this approach. Let me know of any errors in the settings, e.g. dropdowns missing values that should be supported (or vice versa) or multi-instance templates not having the correct minimum/maximum use limit. The form layout is done with standard wiki tables, so any spacing issues etc. can be adjusted as needed. The biggest change is that form editing works around all form content being contained within templates. Any text not used in a template parameter gets relocated to the bottom of the page (shown in the "debugging area" when editing with the form). The updated templates have notes sections etc. so information can be added in the usual places while now actually residing within the associated templates. Another change is that pages edited with the form have empty template parameters and template whitespace removed (there is no option to disable this), so manual editing is not as easy to read as it was before. This form introduces some new templates such as Patchbox. These templates provide a layout specific to that type of information and supply additional semantic data for the wiki. In the case of Patchbox, the Issues fixed/unresolved sections would link to the Patches section when it exists (this is implemented already but isn't visible in the examples due to using the development namespace). Template features that rely on property checks (GOG.com and Steam Cloud rows, WSGF infobox icon, etc.) don't work in this namespace after a page has been saved. Unfortunately, due to the way forms work each template can only be used in one place on the form (but multiple times in that place). This form uses redirects for several templates to get around this limitation (listed in the "Redirected templates" section). This form currently has an issue where some page sections are shown when empty. This would be resolved with some template adjustments (most of which are already present). EDIT: form editing from section links on the page isn't present yet. Anyway, let me know what you think. EDIT: I have moved the sample pages to my user space (I didn't realise the Development: namespace had restricted editing). Feel free to tinker with the pages.

    Form-based editing test

Yes, manual editing would be available as always. Game pages would have tabs at the top for each type of editing (this is already used for company pages). Form-based editing would be the default for game pages (like it is now for Company pages). WYSIWYG form editing would be possible once it is supported by Page Foms (this is listed on the planned features list for this extension).

Add Windows MR to list of VR headsets

Thanks for the suggestion, Windows Mixed Reality support has been added now.

    Add Steam Controller button prompts

A Steam Controller API setting has been implemented for the input settings template. The additional information was hidden due to its length although this is not ideal either.

    Add Steam Controller button prompts

I have added Steam Controller support for prompts. This is currently represented by the pad symbol because the regular ABXY buttons are the same as an Xbox controller. Feel free to suggest improvements or alternatives to more clearly represent this type of controller. I have also added simultaneous input to all the examples (this was initially excluded because I had considered rewording it).
  20. Version

Fix for Prophecy of the Shadow freezing at a black screen when using the Roland MT-32 for music. The original release does not have this issue (affected releases include a QUEST.TXT changelog file). Extract MT32MPU.ADV to the installation folder, confirming the replacement of the existing file when prompted. This fix was made following steps provided by VOGONS user ripsaw8080 (see the VOGONS topic for details). This change can also be done manually by opening MT32MPU.ADV with a hex editor (go to offset 43C and change bytes 8B 46 06 to B8 30 03).

    Aleshar: The World of Ice

    Version v1.3

Aleshar: The World of Ice developed by Hypothermia for DOS. Re-released as freeware on 11/7/2000.
  22. Unfortunately it looks like this is one the many games that were broken by changes introduced with Windows 8 (it works on Windows 7). I found a solution online for removing the disc check (open HEDZ.EXE in a hex editor and change 74 06 B0 03 to 74 00 B0 00) but it doesn't get much further without it--with dgVoodoo 2 it starts but only get as far as the initial copyright screen before it crashes.
  23. Version

Fix for missing sounds in some releases of Lords of Doom. This is known to affect the Starbyte Software CD-ROM release. Affected releases show a "sound open error" message during gameplay when sounds are meant to play. Extract the SOUNDS folder to the installation folder.
  24. Version

Blank intro video files for Halls of the Dead: Faery Tale Adventure II. This fix works for both the DOS and Windows versions of the game. Copy the VIDEO folder on the CD into the installation folder. Go to the configuration file location. Open FTA2.INI. Change the VideoPath= line to match the full path of the VIDEO folder in the installation folder. Extract the intro skip package into the installation folder (confirming the replacement of existing files when prompted). Intro videos will now be skipped and the game will also no longer ask for the CD to play any videos.
