  1. Many thanks @RoyBatty I have have overwritten the pages with your edits. As I mentioned it would be interesting to explore the idea of a Tweaks subpage.
  2. OpenRA - the open source engine designed to bring modern support and multiplayer to classic games Red Alert, Tiberian Dawn and Dune 2000, has now brought out the update release-20191117. Changes include save-support, new UI and new unit behaviours, as well as a new Mod SDK. The mod can be downloaded from their website. A video of the changes is online:
  3. 😅 I get the feeling that this is gonna be a fully fledged VR game from the ground up in the Half-Life universe but it’s not going to be a sequel to Half-Life 2.
  4. The rumoured Valve title Half-Life: Alyx has been confirmed: Rumours spilled around the internet regarding a supposed leak of the interview which reveals Half-Life: Alyx which I've copied here: Can't wait to see what a 'flagship' VR title from Valve will be like, one that continues the Half-Life story no less. Official details will soon be revealed Thursday at 10am Pacific Time.
  5. Dragon's Quest Builders 2 is now being released on Steam, and our wiki stub article is already up. This game is the first in this spinoff series to be released on PC. Some pre-order bonuses are availableto gamers who pre-order by Tuesday, 19th November: Check out the Steam page for more information.
  6. Looks like an interesting adventure game from the same developer as Life Is Strange. Trailer seems to evoke a similar tone to the series - however will there be supernatural elements or is this a more down to earth storyline?
  7. I've attached a zip of the Bethesda files if you wanted to adjust them. If the edits look fine then I will overwrite the archive. The Skyrim guide is hosted on the GeForce website, so we can't change that. TweakGuides-Bethesda.zip

Hi @Scorpion5421 - I assume that you might have had an issue if you are accessing from Russia? We have provided a fix now, is it working for you?
  9. Hi Doodle, if you are still having a problem please come to the #support channel on our Discord and message Andytizer or Snuxoll.
  10. This happens to a lot of gamers, it sounds like you need to take a break from gaming for a bit and explore other hobbies. You may find that you enjoy games more when you have some time apart. Do you intend to play the slightly broken PC sequel or play it on console?
  11. Resurrecting this thread! What I've been playing: Katana Zero Really enjoyed this game. Reminded me a lot of Hotline Miami, both in terms of the story and gameplay. Plot-wise, it was an interesting psychological experience with some predictable twists and turns. Gameplay is also similar to Hotline Miami in that it is one-hit kill action that you can repeat instantly as soon as you make a mistake. Similar as well is how frantic it gets - you can clear a whole level except for the last enemy, who might behave unpredictably and then get a lucky hit and you have to restart the entire section again. Great game! Apex Legends I've been playing this game since launch, and it's the only real Battle Royale game I actually like (compared to Fornite/PUBG which I bounced right off). Was fairly addicted to this game and would spend significant amounts of time outside of gaming watching players like Shroud play the game on YouTube. However I haven't really touched it for the last few weeks so it's definitely lost some allure for me and it reminds me that competitive multiplayer games can be quite a timesink and you don't necesarily take that much away from them when you are done. Reminds me to complete more of my single-player backlog! The Outer Worlds I wasn't initially going to try this but after consuming all the reviews promising a Fallout: New Vegas-type experience I had to try it. For me it's more similar to Mass Effect than anything else. I'm around halfway through the game and enjoying the experience. The game feels extremely polished and I haven't experienced a single bug. Presentation, graphics and sound are fantastic. Combat feels janky especially the enemy AI and animations and the combat is really easy and boring so far, even though I didn't spec into a heavy combat character. I hate how in these games the NPCs are all posed naturally but as soon as combat starts they're all running around in really unnatural and game-y ways and there's no strategy, intelligence or naturality to the characters. Another problem I think is the pacing which is way too fast for some things. For example there's a character who you can use dialogue checks to convince them to give up their leadership position in lieu of killing them. It just goes from 'I'm going to kill you' to 'I better give up everything without a fight' within a single dialogue check which is way too sudden. Similarly there is a romance between a companion and an NPC which just feels like it happens way too fast, it feels jarring.
  12. Halo: Reach on PC finally has a release date on PC, after being teased for months. On December 3, the first part of Halo: Master Chief Collection will be released on: Steam Xbox Game Pass for PC Microsoft Store Halo: Reach can be purchased separately (it is listed on Steam as a DLC). Or it can be purchased a part of the Halo: Master Chief Collection as a bundle with future game release dates to be announced for Halo, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST and Halo 4. It wil be interested to see how the Steam version will interact with Microsoft services, as it will require a Xbox Live account to play the game.

  14. We aren't going to make those articles 'wiki-editable', it's there as an archive. However I am considering other methods of incorporating similar tweaking information and I'd be happy to take feedback. I think most tweaks are too verbose and niche for the main article. However we could easily have a subpage e.g. Fallout 4/Tweaks which lists every single variable and can be contributed by all users.
  15. Koroush announced recently that TweakGuides, one of the best sources of PC game tweaks, is sadly going to be shutting down. Koroush has graciously allowed third parties to mirror the TweakGuides website under the Creative Commons Attribution International (CC BY 4.0) license. PCGamingWiki articles contain multiple references to TweakGuides, and we have decided to mirror and preserve the content so that our links are not broken when the main site goes offline. You can find the mirror at tweakguides.pcgamingwiki.com and all the Wiki's internal links have been updated to the new address.
  16. The game looks really interesting, great reviews so far and something a bit different with a AAA budget attached to it. https://www.metacritic.com/game/playstation-4/death-stranding

  18. Hi @RoyBatty currently not experiencing an issue with this download, can you let me know what error message you're getting?
  19. Remedy have just sent out a response via official channels with this image:
  20. @Jan Solo can you keep us updated on this - for example if a user here wins the voucher, and how the data is used in your thesis and what kind of conlcusions you draw!
  21. Control has just been patched to version 1.04 which added a new requirement for players to be connected to the internet and to use Epic Games Store in order to launch. When attempting to launch the game without an internet connection, an error appears stating that the player is "Unable to log in" and to "Please launch the game using the Epic Games Launcher and a valid Epic Games User Account". Previously before this patch, Control was a DRM-free game. The game could be launched without launching Epic Games Store, and could be started directly through the exe file. Users on reddit speculate that this new DRM is a measure to prevent users hex-editing PS4-exclusive content into the PC version. The patch also has the side effect of disabling the ability to play the game using a Steam controller, as launching through Steam is no longer possible.
  22. I have no idea who is completing these single player games these days as every kid I see is playing some kind of survival/F2P multiplayer shooters, or all the adults I know barely have time to game at all with work/kids in the way. When I was younger, I'd get maybe a handful of games a year and I'd play an explore every single nook and cranny and extract the maximum value out of them. I'd play my shareware version of Descent over and over again or complete Monkey Island multiple times. Collecting games was a joy because each game would be worth dozens of hours of replayability, only a handful were released every month. These days with all these free singleplayer games released on Humble or Steam or on Epic Games Store has really oversaturated the market with thousands of quality singleplayer game experiences. However I'm still collecting them (at least up until recently) because my monkey brain is still thinking as a child - 'free games' (or games on very low sale prices) seem like they are unlimited value. However with my hundreds of games unplayed, it's clear that these collections are never going to be played/completed. The worst is when enhanced editions or remastered editions keep getting released. For example Metro 2033 sits in my Steam library unplayed because I know that if I play it, I'll be getting a worse experience than the Redux version. However I can't bring myself to ever buy the Redux as I have too many other singleplayer FPS games to complete first.
  23. Steam are releasing a new Remote Play Together streaming option. This will allow one Steam user to stream their game with another remote Steam user, and for them to play the same 'local' game together. The feature was announced on the Steamworks website, which is a developer area, however the announcement has been shared publicly: This kind of streaming online multiplayer feature has been available through other methods such as Parsec.
  24. The release date of Doom Eternal, previously November 22, 2019, has now been pushed back to March 20, 2020. Whilst this is obviously disappointing for PC gamers, extra time to polish a game can never hurt. Doom Eternal was also pushed heavily as a launch title for Stadia in November 2019, so this delay will have other ramifications on the platform. However Bethesda are still going to be releasing games on Stadia from their back catalogue: Doom (2016), Rage 2, The Elder Scrolls Online, and Wolfenstein: Youngblood. The information about the delay came in this tweet:
