  1. Had the same problem as well. It's really unfortunate. Until some workaround is created, I'll have to play the game windowed in 1280x1024 for that extra viewing distance.

  3. Crashing here too, even after enabling post the 'Press any button' screen. Not during loading, not during start up, just randomly while playing the mission 😟

  4. Can confirm the crashes, seems quite random during gameplay. I've been enabling the tool when at camp. Really helpful tool shame the new update causes issues. 🤔

  7. That would suggest the issue stems from modifications made to the file by you though, not the trainer. It makes no changes to the game files and restores the original code in the memory when you press F8 again. For some display modes or other variables, it may also require pressing alt+enter twice to have the game read from its original code again.

  8. Look up reverse engineering software on YouTube to get started 😁 Contrary to the popular belief, it usually takes many hours of disassembling, and few games are properly fixed by searching for the well-known aspect ratio or Unreal Engine 4 FOV-related bytes. If they are, the solutions are usually available on day one because every advanced ultrawide user knows them by now. From the developer standpoint, it's easier than it is from mine because they already have all their functions defined and documented as classes and such, while to me every game is a black box with many lines of pure ass

  9. It's very common for game patches to trigger Windows antivirus. I'd recommend allowing it in Defender. https://www.virustotal.com/gui/file/0d994964e3cbfe117eb0cfcf0d765d24b13ad2f72229005ae5f72533d2bfaad2/detection

  14. Reinstalling the game on MS Store got it updated to 1.10.2.0, which also required updating my pattern. I was sent an exe from the Launcher version but that appeared to be encrypted and I naturally could not look at the unencrypted code at runtime without owning that version. Just hoping the updated trainer works for it too. I may have to come up with something different for future updates.

  15. Minor bug found but solution also found: The game likes to crash when in game but setting the .exe to XP Service pack 2 fixes that.

  16. Welcome to my own personal Hell, I've been picking at this particular issue for QUITE some time now. The only PARTIAL solution is really not that much of a solution at all. To use the plugin on FiveM, you need the entire namesake of the server you're joining, as FiveM sets the process window name to that full title. The problem becomes that server names are very long and/or use emoji or other odd characters. So to get the full string, you need to (open Task Manager while connected to the server you want to play) -> (Expand FiveM process and right click the subprocess with the ful

  19. Even changing a single byte in the game memory will now cause it to crash at those loading stages. Typically it's a sign of protection, though I'm not seeing any common forms of DRM or anti-cheat solutions yet. Using the UE console unlocker will also cause a crash under the circumstances. I guess the only workaround for now is to know when to disable the fix in advance but I understand that it's extremely impractical and likely frustrating. I'll keep looking into this, though it helps to know the issue is global and not unique to my code, giving a bit of hope for a rollback update if t

  25. It was not a question of trust (I have downloaded dozens of your patches without any problem), but I was surprised that it was the first to detect me as a Trojan. Thank you very much for the information anyway. I've tested and works perfectly!

To get a custom resolution, you need to change the bytes at these offsets 22E3568 — 00 0A 00 00 22E356C — 38 04 00 00

  31. I completely understand. I was thinking of it as more of a gift without any binding requirements, but I could see how it could give you a lot of stress. Thank you so much for putting in all the hours and take a break if you can. I worked as a dev until a year ago too so I know how that desire to get to the bottom of a bug can keep you up till morning. Of course I trust your ability since I'm pretty sure it's nowhere near as complicated as The Medium plus there was a patch for Nioh 1 which uses the same engine. On that note, there's already a patch out like you said and it works reaso

  33. I try to avoid accepting offers of this nature, as there is no way to know what's to expect. Every single game has its own code, so one could end up being really complex, while there would be a lot of pressure to complete the fix. It's the fastest way to burning out. I also have been quite busy with The Medium and the PCGW coverage of Werewolf, putting in many hours of work and hardly getting any sleep as of late. It's a double-edged sword, as I'm also happy with the community interest in this one and the benefits to users of all setups. Thanks for trusting in my ability to fix the g

  34. Wow, this game is a total showcase of what the community can do. It looks outstanding in super ultrawide. I have donated to both authors. Thanks so much! FYI, I will donate generously for a good Nioh 2 Super Ultrawide/triple monitor fix. My most anticipated game of this year. My favorite genre, hard core japanese melee action. Jackfuste's fix for the original was a serious labor of love. He kept improving it and improving it until it was nearly flawless. Centering of UI was essential for such a fast paced game. Miss that guy... hope he's ok and just moved on to oth

    Noita ultrawide mod

I see no major changes to the base game code for the warning to matter. Debug lines aside, there is one localization string introduced and one UI damage offset slightly changed. Regardless, I added the new strings to the mod just now. How do you know that it's the cause of the restarts?

  38. squidnipples - I had the same issue. Open the Silent_Hill_4_PC_Fix.ini with notepad or some sort of text editor (I use notepad++) and find the line that says # Increase the resolution of background screens IncreaseBackgroundResolution = 1 and change the 1 to a 0, hit save (make sure it saves as an ini not as txt or something.) and try that. It fixed the weird zoom for me in both the game and the pause menu.

  40. Maybe your version is not supported. I tested the fix on the current Steam version. Check DevilMayCry5.exe hash. Before the patch it should be After the patch it should be If the hashes don't match, it means your version is unsupported and the fix won't work.

  41. The method with the executable doesn' work with the current version on Steam. Instead, doing the manual method works perfectly with a resolution of 3840x1080 (32: 9) in my case. Thank you very much Rose!

  44. Thank you for reporting the issue and sharing your save files. Save 4 was very helpful in allowing me to go over the cutscene again. I changed more code and updated the patcher but it's a more drastic change compared to the previous, so it would be helpful if you could restore the original exe and then patch it with the latest version and tell me how it goes as you play, paying attention to the gameplay scaling as well. I'm attaching the before and after screenshots of the scene, though they are not of one frame.

  45. whenever i have tried to open the trainer nothing has appeared and it just asks for permission everytime i open it but nothing happens. I thought something was going on with my antivirus blocking the stuff so i deleted my anti virus but now when i try and open the program it tells me that a virus may be in the file and wont allow me to open it. And when i turned off windows defender for a second and opened it still nothing happened so im very confused why nothing has popped up on my screen after opening it.

  48. Hey, thx for the fix! I've found only one weird thing about it - i can't hold both LT and RT, so normal fighting is imposible. Do you have any suggestions about it? Maybe it is something i do wrong... UPD: i've solved this issue by disabling "Hold to target lock" option.
