    Noita ultrawide mod

Thanks for the continued feedback and offering to help. A while ago I had a user share their config file with me but it completely matched mine, so I had no idea what was wrong. I had another look at the game today and it turned out that it was indeed a global issue and I either didn't notice it earlier or it didn't occur for some reason. I updated the mod to hopefully put this particular issue to rest - tested at all the listed resolutions again. There are still a couple of unrelated imperfections I'm aware of and I might try to fix them in the future as well.

Glad you got it working and thank you @Rose for all your hard work supporting this mod!

Thanks for the feedback! I can't play through every game I mod at the rate they've been coming out, so it's really valuable to me. @Just!cE I updated the trainer just now to have it behave like the previous versions. It's indirect FOV adjustment but you absolutely had a point. @frozenboy You have to have enabled the "Custom FOV toggle" option first. I slightly reworded this in the latest version for more clarity. I could also have it activate at launch but that would be less reliable and giving the user less control.

As the off-topic discussion have served its purpose and deteriorated past its relevance I've cleaned out the thread and locked it from further comments. The never-ending race between malware creators and anti-malware suites means that general-purpose legitimate tools and utilities that might enable nefarious purposes can and will eventually be used as such, which will understandably trigger a response from anti-malware suites. While some AVs might just flag an individual known file as malicious, others use more general-purpose detection patterns that gets triggered on all files based on that pattern, whether they're used for malicious purposes or not. To further complicate the matter, the last decade have also seen protection suites expand outside of their original intended use-case and started to flag other files that might be seen as inappropriate or unwanted, even if they might not be malicious to the end user per se. This can be from everything that might install ad software that runs in the background (often categories as "Potentially Unwanted Applications") or tools or utilities that allows the patching of another application (prime example being CheatEngine) as these might be in some cases used to allow the unauthorized or unlicensed use of an application. The recent events that resulted in the retirement of the dedicated Widescreen Gaming Forum (a community dedicated to improving widescreen gaming experience in games) is a clear example of how volatile and uncertain the situation have become. As a result PCGW can't ensure or guarantee the safety of community contributed files, and users downloading and making use of files does so at their own risk, per our disclaimer. As content on PCGW are community-created, what options are available (such as an easy-to-use tool or manual patching instructions) are up to community creators, and we welcome contributions from new as well as old community members. If anyone feels that they would rather make use of another method that's currently not documented, feel free to add it to the article for the game. Edit 2019-11-04: Comments have opened again as more than a week have passed.

I have remade this patch using the clean, DRM-free GOG version executables, if anyone wishes to play at higher frame-rates without DRM data, here is the patch: http://www.mediafire.com/file/9307hi3nkyhrdke/FPS_Fixes.7z/file Also, to the uploader, if you could update your upload with these files it would be very appreciated to me.

    Superliminal ultrawide patcher

Tested, gives Hor+ on full EGS version using 1920x810. (Weird, I know, but it's the closest I can get to 21:9 aspect ratio on my laptop's monitor.)

Hei, Thank You! Works perfectly, 32:9 looks greit now.
  14. 1 point
Yea. The game really needs to let us adjust FOV for different camera states, aiming down sights, when entering interiors, when drawing out weapons etc. All this automatic back and forth auto-fov-adjusting is sometimes quite annoying.

Hell yes! =] But since it is a known issue I should stop trying to fix it on my end. Can probably get rid of that with some black tape at top and botton of the monitor... xD Thanks again!!

Ah for some reason it was chrome, downloading the tool on edge was the solution! Thanks so much for the quick reply ๐Ÿ˜„

Hi. I downloaded and opened the archive without issues just now. Make sure you are using 7zip, PeaZip or possibly WinRar to open the archive and that the password is correct. Try a different browser if the issue is limited to downloading the file rather than unpacking. On Windows 10 you would have Edge and Internet Explorer to choose from.

I think that was supported out of the box? Regardless, after 4 more hours on the mod, I made it that it now adapts to the current screen or window size, regardless of what it is. I also added keys for custom UI adjustment.

To change hotkeys, open "patches\main.patch" file in the text editor. ะกhange these values #bind [PRESSED:VK_F5] #bind [PRESSED:VK_F6] #bind [PRESSED:VK_F7] to the keys you want. Any way to just apply fov changes to the first person mode instead of the whole camera? Like this one

Sure, here it is. I saved inside the ship. If you go to the planet surface you'll probably see the flickering. Almost as if the pillarboxes are trying to force themselves back in. SaveGame01.sav

If you get banned for fixing the game with this, just chargeback Rockstar. I just got my money back because I told my bank the game was claimed to be optimized for 21:9 and it just totally wasn't. ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜

The Outer Worlds ultrawide & superwide mod

@Rose Thanks so much for the upload, works a treat! Almost gave up hope playing this game, with the vert- they have setup it was giving me almost a car sickness feeling, could only play 5 mins at a time max before.

Yes, that must be the problemt then. I would like to thank you so much for your help :D. I will try to get the tool working and hope I can play the game properly. Again, thank you for your your help.

The scan results I linked are for a completely unrelated trainer from Fearless, just to show you that the detection rates are common for trainers built on CE.
  34. 1 point
Awesome! The FOV changer is great, but it appears when you go quite high it seems the camera becomes low. Looks like you're very short and the POV is more from chest area. Is this possible to adjust?
  35. 1 point
I added custom real time FOV adjustment to the latest version of the trainer. PS, Not a man!
  36. 1 point
Yeah, it does change the framing of the original shots. You can clearly see the differences on the newer comparison images. Rene gets it. Probably no easy way to do it with how they dynamically letterboxed the engine scenes to be more cinematic. It was designed around 16:9 HDTVs, and they didn't do the work to display them properly on wider screens. So best we'll probably get for now. Comparisons: https://imgur.com/a/SWdz8KU

A quick heads up if anyone has issues in the chapter 2 mission "Exit Pursued by a Bruised Ego" (it starts off where you're taking a horse to sell at the market). The game kept refusing to load a cutscene once I entered the stables, not letting me move or do anything besides rotate the camera, forcing me to quit the game and restart it. After 4 reloads, I finally tried it without the ultrawide fix, and it worked. This game is super buggy right now, so that might not have been the issue, but if anyone else encounters the same problem, definitely try it without the fix for that portion. Edit: Thank you so much for your incredible quick work Rose! I just wanted to post this so that if anyone else has (or doesn't have) the same problem there we can find out if it's the issue. So to anyone else, if you made it through that mission using the patch without problems, please reply.

I had the same issue, restart your PC, launch the game and then launch the trainer. That's what fixed it for me. Takes a few seconds after pushing the button to start working.
  41. 1 point
Well, that can be the reason, thank you. So ironic, cause i downloaded the pirated version especially to check if the game has 21:9 support... ๐Ÿ˜‚
  42. 1 point
The issue appears to be specific to pirated versions of the game, which is not unexpected. Here's what you get otherwise:

It's a false positive, yeah. I just ran Malwarebytes on it to be sure, though. Still, to give you and others peace of mind and, especially, to help prevent it from being quarantined, I've just uploaded a new version (1.2) that doesn't get flagged as suspicious by Windows Defender (and some other AV engines).

This particular software seems to be picked up by antivirus software for some reason. An alternative 'Borderlands Advance Settings' on this github may be a better alternative, as it has been updated more recently.
