About This File

The trainers for Microsoft, Epic, Steam and GOG game versions remove black bars from real-time rendered cutscenes, menu and dialogue screens, and correct the field of view and hands model scaling at ultrawide and wider resolutions.

  1. Use software like PeaZip or 7zip to unpack the archives. The password is pcgw
  2. Run the game first, followed by the trainer, and press the button as instructed. Some delay is possible.

The mod does not address the stretching of pre-rendered cutscenes.

In order to force unsupported resolutions, edit GameUserSettings.ini and set the ResolutionSizeX= and ResolutionSizeY= values as desired - e.g. 5760 and 1080. Getting into the settings in the game will undo the changes, so make sure to have configured the game to preference prior to editing the config.

3.0: A remake of the trainers with the following features and changes:

  • Finally found a way to correct the viewmodel scaling and implemented the solution.
  • Fully automated the FOV correction for all scenes at all resolutions, inspired by killer-m's work.
  • Removed the now unnecessary manual FOV adjustment and display (the game supports it and more is possible through the config).
  • Removed the patchers, as they are significantly inferior to the trainers now.

3.0.1: Removed a bit of unused code.

Can't start the Steam-Version EXE - It asks for Admin-Privileges and nothing happens. :(

Windows Security is disabled. Any clue?

      Dishonored FOV Hack v1.0

      Should work with any version.
      1. Put version.dll and fov.ini in the same folder as the game EXE file (Dishonored\Binaries\Win32).
      2. Edit fov.ini to your preference.

      The small patcher removes the side black bars from the game at 21:9 and wider aspect ratios.

      Unfortunately, it does not address the native issue of the Cultural Insight FMVs being cropped. As a workaround, those can be watched properly at any time from the menu by switching to a 16:9 resolution in the game, or on YouTube.

      Tested on the latest Epic Games Store version at 2560x1080 and 5760x1080.

      This Flawless Widescreen script will let you override width safe area that is bounded to 90%. It will relocate HUD in the center if you play ultrawide or multi monitors.
      It will also remove the black bars that the game engine forces in cinematics (rendered in 16/9 natively).
      Install first Flawless Widescreen.
      Download the script and unzip it in your Flawless Widescreen folder.
      Run it and click MassEffectAndromedaTM on the left frame.
      On the right frame, game fixes are available to en(dis)able.
      Use the sliders for the HUD to relocate in game.
      Alternatively, you can force HUD safe zone values by modifying the the profOpts_profile file that is located in the %USERPROFILE%\Documents\BioWare\Mass Effect Andromeda\Save folder.
      Locate the GstRender.ScreenSafeAreaHeight and GstRender.ScreenSafeAreaWidth lines and modify them.
      Valide range is 0-1 (float value)
      Note that any modification in the game settings may erase your modifications in file.

      Unpack the trainer archive with software like 7zip - the password is pcgw Launch the game Launch the tool Press the keys as instructed to remove the black bars and enable FOV modifications, then manipulate in real time. Tested the latest GOG version at 2560x1080 and 7680x1080.

      The tool allows to change the first-person FOV in real time and exceed the limit of 120. For convenience, it is also bundled with existing solutions, including FOV fixes and the cutscenes fix for ultrawide resolutions, so not all of the functions may be compatible with an already patched exe.
      Download the archive and unpack it with software like PeaZip using the password pcgw Launch the game, followed by the tool. Press the hotkeys as instructed to enable or disable the fixes in real time. All trainers containing CE components may trigger some anti-virus software.
      Contains the interactions FOV fix and ultrawide fixes based on killer-m's work, as well as an FOV check fix from Wintermance.

      Tested the latest Ubisoft Connect version at 2560x1080, 2560x1440 and 5760x1080.
