  1. I think I've found the solution! The game's cutscenes are in WEBM format and they were set by default to open with Windows Media Player. My K-Lite Codecs on the other hand were set for Media Player Classic. When I changed the default to MPC the videos played properly.
  2. It's the first one. I haven't been to the second yet. And I'm using the K-Lite codec pack. No problems with it for any game, old or new. I'm starting to believe that the problem must be with the framerate. It is locked by default to 75 and usually games are running with 60.
  3. Any ideas why the intro video looks scrambled? If I reduce the graphics details the intro is shown properly, but if I exit the game and re-enter it looks scrambled again! I've tried every possible combination and I can't find the option responsible for that. A little help please!
  4. Anno 2005 used to work properly, but after a few months when I reinstalled it, it just won't start. I can see it running as a background process, but nothing else happens. I have to wait for about 5 minutes and then it starts. Any idea what causes it and how to fix it?
  5. I have an issue with Alien Isolation. Well I'm not sure if it's a game bug or the designers made it like that intentionally, but I'd like some help please! My computer specs are: ASUS ROG G752VL Windows 10 64-bit Intel Core i7 2.60GHz 8Gb RAM NVIDIA Geforce GTX 965M 2Gb Alien Isolation runs perfectly and smoothly with every option set to max by default. The only problem is that there is a glossy effect that seems unnatural. A green and red gloss, like an inversion of colors and It's everywhere. The walls, the floor... And apart from that these seems to be a big rectangle in the middle of the screen breaking this gloss, without affecting the rest of the graphics. Also there is a smaller rectangle to the left, just above the health bar. I have taken some screenshots to see for yourselves. I've checked gameplay videos in YouTube and the environment seems natural without this glossy effect. Any idea what causes this? I've tried disabling some effects one by one, but no luck so far.
  6. All I wanted was a laptop that won't overheat to a shutdown point and this one was highly recommended. My previous Qosmio F50-10K was overheating even with Doom 3 and after 7 years of use I needed an upgrade. Plus I didn't notice any G-Sync reference in the system specs to wonder what that is. :P
  7. I've tried all formats but the sound remains the same.
  8. So I should enable G-Sync from Control Panel and disable VSync from game options, right? Or keep both of them enabled?
  9. Here are my current settings (and my default format is set to 24bits, 48000 Hz (Studio Quality)

    My sound settings

  11. VSync stayed enabled. For better performance I've disabled: Anti-Aliasing (sometimes I set it to FXAA) even though it can go smoothly with SMAA T2x (it becomes a little laggy every now and then) but I don't want to push the system to it's limits needlessly. Bokeh Depth of Field Global Illumination Edge Fade Everything else is set to very high. If there was a problem with the framerate, shouldn't that affect the entire game? Why affect that specific part? By the way, in NVIDIA Control Panel I see a G-Sync option. Any idea what that is? Is it related to Vsync? Should I keep it on?
  12. 1. I already have the latest NVIDIA drivers. 2. Volume is set to max but the sfx is still low. 3. My laptop has a program called "ROG Gaming Center" and an app inside it "Sonic Studio". The game is set on stereo, I've tried experimenting with bass boost and other settings but nothing happened.
  13. It's probably a bug from the game itself but I'd like to ask anyway. While Just Cause 3 works perfectly (no crashes, no lagging) I've noticed something weird. Whenever I pull down a fuel tank (the cylindrical you can find on bases and police stations) with my grappling hook, the tank simply pops. There is no explosion. While the rest of the explosions work perfectly this one doesn't. Well it doesn't happen all the time, sometimes there is an explosion (small or big) but most of the times it just pops, showing only pieces of metal on fire. Is there a way to fix that (maybe by disabling Ambient Occlusion), do I have to tweak my GPU settings, is it a bug from the game itself, what?
  14. I have an ASUS ROG G752 laptop with Windows 10 64bit and while Force Unleashed works perfectly, there is an issue with the sound. It's nothing like the one you describe on your page (missing sounds). ...Well I haven't reached the Death Star level to tell if there are missing sounds... The problem is that from the very first level the SFX volume is very low. I can hear the sounds of passing Tie Fighters, Stormtroopers firing and talking etc. but it's not as loud and clear as the cinematics and whenever this Eclipse girl is talking to me. I can barely hear the sound of my lightsaber and I can't understand why. I don't have my speakers set to 5.1, just Stereo. I've tried several compatibility modes and there's no change. Any idea how to resolve this?
  15. RaTcHeT302There is no software render option in the settings, it recognizes only one card, mine. And there is a registry entry about Mafia in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Illusion Softworks\Mafia\ but the key is in hexadecimal value and I don't know what to do. MirhI've tried the dll files from the link you proposed but no luck. d3d8.dll from WineD3D causes the game to crash. It's stable only with d3d9.dll... I've also tried 3D Analyzer but the options are too many and from what I've seen so far there are no changes.
